Chapter 125: Moving Preparation

With her family’s approval and encouragement, An Nuan began to prepare for her move to Capital City.

A few days before An Nuan was set to move, Ren Di came to find her to spend time together. Once she arrived, Ren Di went straight to An Nuan’s room and looked at the luggage and boxes stacked beside the wall.

“You didn’t bring along a lot of things with you,” Ren Di pointed out. “Is this enough?”

“It’s enough.” An Nuan stacked another box at the side. “Didn’t I tell you previously that Lin Xiao Feng had prepared almost everything for me at his place? Other than a few personal items, I don’t need to bring so many things.”

Ren Di nodded. She still remembered when An Nuan showed up at the hotel wearing new clothes.

“That Lin Xiao Feng… He really treats you well, huh?”

An Nuan paused upon hearing Ren Di’s words. She turned to look at her friend and realized that Ren Di might be saying those words casually.

She knew that Lin Xiao Feng was treating her well.

In fact, he treated her too well. He’s really different than what she thought of him previously.

“Nuan Nuan, I can’t believe that you are leaving in a few days.”

Ren Di’s words snapped An Nuan out of her thoughts.

“I’m going to miss you a lot,” Ren Di said with a sigh.

An Nuan’s eyes and nose turned slightly sour upon hearing her friend’s words. “Alright. Don’t make me cry. It’s not as if we’re never going to see each other again. I will return to Y City frequently.”

“Really?”

An Nuan nodded. “My parents are still here.” A smile curled on her lips. “Besides, you can always visit me in Capital City. Ren Di, come over and stay at our place whenever you come to Capital City for any event.”

“Wouldn’t it be awkward?” Ren Di asked. “I shouldn’t interrupt your married life.”

An Nuan chuckled. “Don’t speak nonsense. How can you disturb anything?”

“Rather than staying with you…” Ren Di stared at An Nuan and smiled. “It’s better if you let me stay at The Orchid Hotel. I still wanted to eat those desserts again.”

An Nuan laughed. She remembered Ren Di’s disappointment when she told her about the special discount card she got from Zhang Yu Han previously.

Ren Di heaved a sigh. She was still unwilling to part with her best friend. But then, An Nuan was married and had to follow her husband and live in another city.

She suddenly wondered how it would be when An Nuan and Lin Xiao Feng lived together.

Ren Di had only met Lin Xiao Feng a few times. She had a good impression of that man.

Lin Xiao Feng was always polite whenever they met. He was way too different from Pei Zhi Yi.

Ren Di could not imagine An Nuan marrying someone like Lin Xiao Feng if it was not because Pei Zhi Yi decided to do something ridiculous on their wedding day.

However, after observing the couple for a while, Ren Di could be at ease upon seeing that Lin Xiao Feng treated An Nuan quite well. At least, Ren Di could see that Lin Xiao Feng was quite attentive toward An Nuan.

Still, the interaction between the couple could be somewhat awkward.

There were a few things that she wanted to buy before she moved to Capital City. The two friends planned to shop around and have a meal together.

Tired of walking around the mall, An Nuan and Ren Di decided to stop at a nearby cafe to rest.

“Nuan Nuan, do you still have anything to buy after this?”

“I think this should be enough,” An Nuan said. “Anyway, I could buy whatever is missing there.”

The girls ate their meals while chatting about this and that. In the end, they both decided to continue hanging out at the An’s residence.

An Nuan drove Lin Xiao Feng’s car back to her residential area.

As she was approaching the area, An Nuan noted that her elder brother’s car was parked outside the gate.

An Nuan slowed down her car and looked around only to see that her elder brother was arguing with Pei Zhi Yi at the side. A few security guards were trying their best to stop them from fighting.

“Nuan Nuan, isn’t that your elder brother?” Ren Di pointed out when she saw the familiar figure.

An Nuan pulled over his car on the side road to look at the situation.

Just in time, she saw Pei Zhi Yi swing his fist to her elder brother’s face.
