Chapter 130: You are Really Crazy

An Nuan stayed at home for a few days after meeting Pei Zhi Yi that day.

If it was up to her, she would want to stay in her room all the time. However, An Nuan did not dare to stay in her room all the time and make her parents worry.

After accompanying them for a meal and chatting with them a little bit, An Nuan would stay in her room again.

She would tell her parents that she wanted to work on her sketches in her room so that they wouldn’t suspect anything.

However, after a few days, An Nuan could no longer find an excuse to stay home all the time.

Her friend from highschool, Liu Qing, asked her out. Initially, An Nuan was too lazy to go out. But since she was going to move to Capital City soon, An Nuan felt that it would be too impolite to leave without saying a word.

It was arranged for them to meet in the evening for a meal.

Worried that she was going to run into Pei Zhi Yi again, An Nuan decided to ask their family driver to send her to the location.

An Nuan headed to the location that Liu Qing sent to her.

This time, Liu Qing had booked a room at a popular club in the city center.

An Nuan was not in the mood to listen to loud music. but perhaps she guessed that she could have a drink or two. She was indeed in a bad mood.

“Nuan Nuan.” Liu Qing waved her hand the moment she saw An Nuan walking through the door. “Come over here and sit down.” Liu Qing patted the space beside her.

“There’s only us?” An Nuan asked as she swept her gaze around the room.

“Hmm.” Liu Qing smiled. “It has been a while since we both talked. It’s better if there are less people around. I thought you would not want to have other people around.”

An Nuan shot a grateful smile.

With her recent situation, An Nuan was not in the mood to meet people she was not familiar with.

Liu Qing pressed the button at the side and not long after, a staff member walked into the room with the menu.

The two friends ordered a few dishes and drinks.

Once the staff left, Liu Qing turned to An Nuan again. “I have been wanting to look for you again since our last meeting. But recently, I have been busy settling down. My parents wanted me to come to the company and learn a bit about business. It hasn’t been long since I returned and yet, they were eager to make me work.”

An Nuan laughed.

The girls chatted about a lot of things. Most of their conversation was on Liu Qing as she learned to adapt to living in Y City. A lot of things had changed since the last time she returned. Liu Qing almost got lost while driving in Y City.

Soon, the staff returned with their meals and drinks.

An Nuan ate her dinner quietly as she was quite hungry.

“How is your relationship with Lin Xiao Feng?”

An Nuan froze momentarily at Liu Qing’s question. It felt awkward when someone asked her about her relationship with Lin Xiao Feng.

“It’s not bad.”

An Nuan thought about their relationship and smiled. She felt that her relationship with Lin Xiao Feng has gotten better these days, especially after Lin Xiao Feng asked to have a video call to catch up.

They were estranged as they grew up. But now, they could be considered good friends again.

An Nuan thought that talking to Lin Xiao Feng was quite good. She liked listening to him as he told her about his day at his office.

“I still find it strange to hear that you both became husband and wife.” Liu Qing reached for the glass of wine in front of her and took a sip. “Nuan Nuan, I still remember our classmates teased you and Lin Xiao Feng during high school.”

An Nuan raised a brow, wondering which incident Liu Qing was referring to.

“You see, Lin Xiao Feng was always close to Zhang Yu Han and the others. He used to have a lot of fans but Lin Xiao Feng was not the type of guy who would bother about the other girls.”

Years has passed since they graduated high school.

An Nuan’s memory was not that good but she does remember that Lin Xiao Feng and his group of brothers were not the type of boys who would bother about girls.

But then, the group of boys came from strict families. Of course, they would not dare to mess around.

“Lin Xiao Feng would not bother about other girls but I remember that he was quite attentive towards you,” Liu Qing continued. “Later, a few of our classmates teased you and Lin Xiao Feng as a couple.”

An Nuan looked surprised as she could not remember these details.

“You told everyone that it was impossible for the two of you to be together. I remember you said that the two of you were just neighbours and friends. You don’t have that sort of feelings towards each other,” Liu Qing pointed out. She leaned on the sofa behind her and smiled. “Look. You are now married to him.”

An Nuan laughed. She reached for her glass and emptied half of its contents. “I don’t remember very well. Liu Qing, why do you remember everything?”

“How can I not remember?” Liu Qing looked excited. “Back then, a lot of us had fun gossiping about you and Lin Xiao Feng. A lot of them were disappointed when you refuted those rumors. Wel, you could also say that we were bored after reading a lot of books and preparing for exams. Gossiping is fun.”

An Nuan grew speechless at Liu Qing’s confession.

She took another sip on her wine before looking at Liu Qing again. “Well, you should know that my relationship with Lin Xiao Feng is quite awkward. We didn’t marry because we liked each other.”

“Mhm…” Liu Qing nodded. “I’ve heard some stories. After you left the gathering the last time, a few girls came over to tell me about your wedding. Nuan Nuan, you are really crazy. I did not think that you were capable of pulling such a stunt.” She paused to give An Nuan a thumb up.
