Chapter 131: What Husband?

An Nuan chatted with Liu Qing for a long time.

Whenever she talked about Pei Zhi Yi and how he had left her on their wedding day, An Nuan would pour herself more drinks. Without realizing it, the two girls had drunk a lot.

Liu Qing watched as An Nuan poured herself another drink and emptied her glass within a few seconds.

As she reached for that bottle, Liu Qing realized it was empty.

“Nuan Nuan, you finished it all.” Liu Qing waved the empty bottle at her friend.

“Sorry.” An Nuan hiccuped. “Do you want to order more?”

Liu Qing was about to answer when she saw An Nuan’s reddened face. “Nuan Nuan, your face is red. Are you feeling alright?”

“I’m still alright.” An Nuan smiled.

The smile on her face quickly faded as a thought crossed her mind. “I’m alright. But Liu Qing, I think I drink a lot. I need to go out and pee first.”

Liu Qing chuckled. “You don’t need to go out. There’s a private restroom near the door. Just turn to your left.”

An Nuan stood up. Her head was dizzy and it felt like her world was spinning around. “Then, you can order another bottle while I’m gone. Liu Qing, we are going to stay here until one of us passes out.”

Liu Qing raised the glass in her hand. “Alright!” As she was about to take a sip from her drink, Liu Qing realized that her glass was empty.

While An Nuan was in the bathroom, Liu Qing tried to look for the button to call the staff. However, the plates and glasses on the table were making it hard for her to find the button.

Liu Qing heard a ringing just as she was about to give up. Her eyes squinted as she tried to look for the source of the sound. It did not take her too long to find An Nuan’s phone on the table.

Lin Xiao Feng’s name flashed on the screen.

“Nuan Nuan!” Liu Qing picked up the phone and waved it around. “Your phone is ringing.”

“Help me pick it up,” An Nuan shouted back from the restroom.

Liu Qing glanced at the phone screen again before sliding her finger on the phone screen.

“An Nuan?” Lin Xiao Feng called as soon as the phone call was connected.

“Nuan Nuan?” Liu Qing slurred. “She’s in the restroom. You have to call later.”

“Liu Qing?”

“That’s right.” Liu Qing smiled. “Lin Xiao Feng, I’m surprised that you remember me”

Lin Xiao Feng frowned. He could tell that Liu Qing had drunk a lot from her voice. He wondered if An Nuan had drunk a lot as well.

Lin Xiao Feng arrived in Y City a few hours ago.

Habitually, he went to find his wife next door. However, his mother-in-law told him that An Nuan went out to meet her former classmate, Liu Qing, for a meal.

“Liu Qing, how are you?”

“I’m doing quite fine.” Liu Qing clicked her tongue. “Lin Xiao Feng, An Nuan told me that she will follow you to Capital City soon. This is not fair. I just returned to Y City a few weeks ago and did not have time to spend with Nuan Nuan. Why are you taking her away?”

Lin Xiao Feng had a headache. He rubbed the space between his brows, thinking that talking with a drunk person was too troublesome.

“Did you drink?”

“We are in a good mood after not meeting for so long. Of course, we will have to drink,” Liu Qing sounded unhappy.

“Where are you?”

From Liu Qing’s words, Lin Xiao Feng had a hunch that An Nuan had a few drinks as well.

An Nuan stepped out of the restroom a few minutes later.

When she walked out, An Nuan spotted Liu Qing lying on the sofa with her eyes closed.

“Qing Qing?” An Nuan called. “Why are you sleeping? Didn’t you say that you are going to accompany me to drink?”

Liu Qing sat up straight upon hearing An Nuan’s voice. She raised her hand and smiled. “Let’s continue!”

An Nuan walked to the sofa and sat down. Her brows furrowed when she noticed that the empty bottle was not replaced with a new one. She turned to Liu Qing and frowned. “You haven’t ordered our drinks?”

“I forgot!” Liu Qing continued her search for the call button.

However, her movement halted as she seemed to remember something.

Liu Qing raised her head to look at An Nuan with her eyes narrowed. “Nuan Nuan, don’t drink anymore.” She picked up the empty bottle and the glasses and put them away from An Nuan’s reach.

“What’s wrong? Are you drunk?” An Nuan asked. “Then, should I call someone to pick us up? Wait. Who should I call?” An Nuan reached for her phone on the table.

Liu Qing shook her head. “I want to drink. But Nuan Nuan, I’m afraid that your husband is going to beat me up if we continue.”

The frown on An Nuan’s face deepened. “What husband?”

A while ago, the two of them were still cursing Pei Zhi Yi for leaving her on her wedding day.

An Nuan was having a hard time processing her thoughts after drinking too much.

An Nuan paused when she heard the name.

She remembered marrying Lin Xiao Feng after her scumbag ex had left.

Suddenly, An Nuan began to laugh. “Lin Xiao Feng is in Capital City. That is a hundred miles away from Y City.” An Nuan clicked her tongue. “Don’t be ridiculous. How can he come over? I don’t care. Liu Qing, you have to accompany me to drink.

An Nuan reached for the call button hidden behind the empty plate.

Not too long after she pressed the button, the door was pushed open from the outside.

An Nuan was about to tell the staff to bring them more drinks when she noticed that something was strange about the man at the door. An Nuan narrowed her eyes to get a clear look.

Her heart skipped a beat when she recognized the man.
