“You… I thought that you were out to have a meal with your friend,” Shi SI said. “Why did you drink so much. Look. You have to suffer now.”

“Mom, I know my fault.” An Nuan chose not to argue with her mother right now. Or else, she might have to listen to her mother’s nagging for a while longer.

“If it was not for Xiao Feng, how do you think you would come home?”

An Nuan paused with the bowl still pressed on her lips. “Lin Xiao Feng?” She lowered the bowl in her hand and stared at her mother in confusion. “What do you mean?”

“Don’t you remember anything?” Shi Xi heaved helplessly when she saw that her daughter staring back at her with a dazed look in her eyes. She raised her hand to poke her daughter’s nose. “Xiao Feng was the one who brought you back, don’t you remember?”

She could not believe that it was her mother who brought her home.

Wasn’t Lin Xiao Feng supposed to be in Capital City? When did he return?

An Nuan tried to look into her mind to see if she held such memories. However, everything was too blurry.

“Xiao Feng came to look for you last night,” Shi Xi said. “We told him that you went out with Liu Qing. He offered to pick you up.”

She remembered someone had told her that she could be quite unreasonable when she was drunk.

“Xiao Feng had to carry you inside since you refused to walk in,” Shi Xi continued.

An Nuan could not bear listening to another word. She gripped her mother’s arm and gave her a pleading look.

“What is it? You don’t believe me?” Shi Xi took out the phone from her pocket. “I have everything recorded on my phone.”

“Mom, please don’t talk anymore,” An Nuan said.

“Now you know how to be ashamed.” Shi Xi scoffed.

An Nuan hesitated.”Mom, do you think it’s too late for me to move to another country?”

“What nonsense are you talking about?” Shi Xi flicked her daughter’s forehead. “You are soon going to follow Xiao Feng to Capital City. Why do you think of moving to another country now?”

An Nuan lowered her head.

She realized that she was now in a difficult situation.

How could she dare to see Lin Xiao Feng again after all the trouble she caused him?
