After her mother left her room earlier, An Nuan reached for her phone and found that her friend Liu Qing had texted her a few hours ago.

Liu Qing’s texts confirmed that Lin Xiao Feng really came to the club to pick her up.

“That’s good.” Lin Xiao Feng looked relieved. “You drank too much last night. I was worried that you might be uncomfortable in the morning.”

An Nuan let out an awkward cough.

She was hoping that Lin Xiao Feng would not mention it last night. It seemed that she could not continue to pretend.

An Nuan would feel bad if she did not say anything, especially when Lin Xiao Feng had helped her last night. She would sound like an ungrateful person if she did not thank Lin Xiao Feng.

“My mom prepared some hangover soup this morning,” An Nuan said. She hesitated briefly before continuing, “I heard from my mother that you are the one who picked me up from the club.”

“That… ” An Nuan tried to smile. “Thank you.”

An Nuan looked away. Coincidentally, her eyes fell on Lin Xiao Feng’s shoulder.

Suddenly, something that her mother said this morning came to her mind.

Her mother said that she had bitten Lin Xiao Feng’s shoulder last night.

The right one or the left one?

She was suddenly curious if it had left a mark.

“You reprimanded me for not telling you when I plan to return.”

An Nuan tried to recall that memory however, she could not remember any details of her conversation with Lin Xiao Feng last night.

“An Nuan.” Lin Xiao Feng leaned closer with a teasing smile on his lips. “Don’t tell me that you have forgotten everything after you’re drunk?”

An Nuan started to panic.

“I’m sorry. I would forget a lot of things when I drink,” An Nuan said. “I was told that this was my bad habit after I drank. Lin Xiao Feng, I did not cause trouble for you, did I?”

Lin Xiao Feng wanted to tell An Nuan how she had thrown a tantrum after they arrived at her place.

However, Lin Xiao Feng decided to restrain himself.

It was better if he did not continue teasing her.

An Nuan was going to move in with him soon.

An Nuan heaved in relief when Lin Xiao Feng did not mention what she had done to him. It was good that Lin Xiao Feng wanted to pretend what happened last night did not happen.

“As for the reason I returned earlier this time… Last night, I told you that I’m returning this time because my grandfather summoned me. There are a few people he wanted me to meet.”

“Work matters?” An Nuan asked.

“Mmm… I guess you could say it’s work-related.” Lin Xiao Feng smiled. “An Nuan.” He stared at his wife’s pretty face for a few seconds longer before continuing, “This time, I’m staying in Y City for a while longer. I’m planning to head back to Capital City with you.”
