Chapter 138: Send a Photo

Lin Xiao Feng followed An Nuan to the baggage claim and saw her take one bag from the belt before turning to him.

“Let’s go,” An Nuan said.

“This is it?” Lin Xiao Feng raised a brow as he looked at the bag.

“Hmm… My dad is going to post everything else,” An Nuan said.

Lin Xiao Feng nodded. Then, he stretched his hand to take the bag away from his wife’s hand. “Let me help you with that.”

The couple left the area together and headed outside.

“Will someone come to pick us up?” An Nuan asked, noticing that Lin Xiao Feng was walking towards the entrance, ignoring the taxi’s booth.

Lin Xiao Feng nodded again. “I asked my assistant to come over. You haven’t met him before. I will introduce you to him later.”

An Nuan stayed in silence as she followed Lin Xiao Feng out.

Not long after, a young man walked over and stopped in front of them.

“Mr. Lin.” He nodded at Lin Xiao Feng before glancing at An Nuan curiously.

“An Nuan.” Lin Xiao Feng stretched his hand and pulled An Nuan to his side.

An Nuan did not find it strange when Lin Xiao Feng held her hand as they have been pretending to be a loving couple in front of outsiders quite a few times.

“This is my assistant, Lu Zheng. You can just call him Xiao Zheng,” Lin Xiao Feng introduced. “Xiao Zheng, this is my wife,”

Lu Zheng turned to An Nuan with a bright smile on his face. “Mrs. Lin, hello.”

An Nuan still finds it strange to hear someone addressing her as Mrs. Lin.

Hearing someone call her Mrs. Lin, now that she was in Capital City, An Nuan realized that she was really Lin Xiao Feng’s wife.

The two of them had always lived apart after marriage.

Lin Xiao Feng was in Capital City while she was staying in Y City.

Usually, the two of them would meet when Lin Xiao Feng returned to Y City. They would meet briefly before they would each return to their house.

Starting from today, the two of them will be staying under one roof.

“Hello,” An Nuan greeted the man in front of her. “You looked young.”

“He graduated from university a year ago,” Lin Xiao Feng answered.

An Nuan looked surprised to hear that Lin Xiao Feng had hired someone as young as Lu Zheng to work for him.

The young man should be quite capable for him to have Lin Xiao Feng’s attention.

An Nuan gave the young man a lookover before turning to Lin Xiao Feng again. She guessed that Lin Xiao Feng was probably too busy with his work as he had an assistant and a secretary around him.

“Mr. Lin, let me help you with your bag.” Lu Zheng was about to take the bag from his boss’s hand when the man avoided him.

“It’s alright. I only have this one bag. I can manage.” Lin Xiao Feng smiled. “Xiao Zheng, just lead the way.”

He was not going to let another person help carry his wife’s bag.

Lu Zheng nodded. He turned around and led the couple to the car where he parked.

A few minutes later, the car entered the main road heading to the city center.

Lu Zheng quickly updated his boss on a few work progress while Lin Xiao Feng was away.

An Nuan listened for a while before she remembered that she needed to text her parents that she had arrived in Capital City.

Her mother was worried when she did not see Lin Xiao Feng at the airport earlier.

Previously, An Nuan had told her family that she would be meeting Lin Xiao Feng in Capital City. Now that she had reached her destination, Mother An wanted to know if her daughter was with her son-in-law.

Lin Xiao Feng was keeping his eyes on An Nuan while listening to Lu Zheng’s report when he noticed that An Nuan suddenly paused while staring at her phone for a long time.

Lin Xiao Feng signaled his assistant to pause before turning to An Nuan. He leaned closer to An Nuan and spoke in a soft voice. “What’s wrong?”

An Nuan hesitated briefly. “Well, my parents were worried when you didn’t show up at the departure hall earlier today.”

Lin Xiao Feng had a guilty look on his face.

He wanted to meet his parents-in-law as well before leaving. However, he arrived in Y City quite late and managed to board the plane to Capital City after running for his life.

“I did not want my parents to worry,” An Nuan continued. “I told them that I was going to meet you in Capital City.” An Nuan glanced at Lin Xiao Feng’s phone. “I texted you about it earlier.”

“Hmm…” Lin Xiao Feng nodded.

He managed to charge his phone during their flight. Once they touched down, Lin Xiao Feng finally got his chance to turn on his phone and saw An Nuan’s text.

“Now, my mother wants to know if I have met you,” An Nuan said. “She was not convinced when I assured her that you came to pick me up at the airport.”

An Nuan was helpless as well.

She did not know why her mother did not believe her words this time.

It made her wonder if she had lied to her mother so many times that her mother was having a hard time believing her.

The couple stared at each other, having a conversation in silence.

An Nuan was asking Lin Xiao Feng what they should do.

Meanwhile, Lin Xiao Feng wanted to know what An Nuan would want to do.

“Then…” Lin Xiao Feng finally broke the silence between them. “Should we take a photo together and send it over to your mother?”

An Nuan blinked.

Without saying a word, Lin Xiao Feng took the phone from An Nuan’s hand and opened the camera interface. “An Nuan, smile.”

An Nuan did as Lin Xiao Feng had instructed.

Then, Lin Xiao Feng snapped a photo of them in the car together before handing it over to An Nuan again. “You can send that photo to your mother.”

“Oh.” An Nuan lowered her head and looked at the photo that Lin Xiao Feng snapped.

Her heartbeat accelerated, seeing that they were too close in the photo.

An Nuan wondered what would her mother think when she see the photo later.
