Half an hour later, the couple finally reached their house.

An Nuan stood in front of the building and looked up.

She was a bit overwhelmed at the thought that from now on, she would have to spend most of her time in this place.

Lin Xiao Feng’s voice snapped An Nuan out of her thoughts. She turned to look at the tall man beside her and saw him smiling gently at her. Suddenly, An Nuan felt calmer.

“Shall we go in?”

An Nuan lowered her gaze and saw Lin Xiao Feng stretching his hand with his palm facing up.

Taking a deep breath, An Nuan placed her hand in Li Xiao Feng’s palm.

When their hands touched, Lin Xiao Feng gripped An Nuan’s hand before leading her into the house.

Assistant Lu Zheng watched as the couple entered the house without looking back.

He saw the couple taking a photo together through the rear mirror and thought that the couple was cute together.

“You can leave now. I don’t have anything else that I need you to do.”

Lin Xiao Feng was showing An Nuan around the house when he noticed the car was still parked outside. He decided to call his assistant and asked what was going on.

The young man let out an awkward cough.

He was still thinking about his boss and had not realized that he had been standing outside with a dazed look on his face.

“We will have an important meeting with the developer tomorrow morning. Be prepared for it.”

“Mr. Lin. I understand.”

Lin Xiao Feng spoke a few more words to his assistant before he finally hung up the phone. Lin Xiao Feng stood at the window and watched as his assistant drove away. Once the car was no longer in his sight, Lin Xiao Feng turned around and saw that An Nuan was still looking around the house.

“How is it?” Lin Xiao Feng asked. He waited for An Nuan to look at him and smiled. “Do you think you can get used to staying here?”

“It’s going to feel awkward at first, but I think I’ll manage.” An Nuan laughed. She walked around the sofa and looked at Lin Xiao Feng again. “This place is a bit different than the last time I came over. You have been decorating?”

Lin Xiao Feng coughed in his attempt to hide the embarrassed look on his face. “I asked Auntie Yu to help me tidy up this place a little bit. She said… It’s better to have some colors around to make this place livelier.”

An Nuan chuckled. “Well, Auntie Yu is right. The room looked nicer.”

Lin Xiao Feng was relieved that An Nuan liked the place.

He wanted to make the house comfortable for An Nuan.

“If there’s anything you would like to change, you are free to redecorate,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “Just tell me or Auntie Yu if you need anything. An Nuan, you can be at ease when you are in this house. As I have said previously, this is your home too.”

Her heartbeat accelerated at the thought that this place would be her home.

The idea was still something foreign to An Nuan.

Living with Lin Xiao Feng would be strange but, An Nuan had made her decision to try her best.

They were now considered housemates, right?

With Lin Xiao Feng’s busy schedule, An Nuan figured that she probably would not get to see this man that much.

“Come on.” Lin Xiao Feng broke the silence between them. “Let’s go upstairs. I’ll show you around.”

An Nuan followed Lin Xiao Feng when the man headed upstairs with her bag in his hand. She continued to look around, trying to get herself familiar with the new surroundings.

Soon, they were stopping in front of a door.

An Nuan had been to the house in the past and Auntie Yu had shown her around the place for a bit.

She remembered that the room in front of them was not the bedroom that Lin Xiao Feng had prepared for her previously.

An Nuan looked at Lin Xiao Feng with an inquiring look.

Without saying a word, Lin Xiao Feng pushed the door open, revealing a study in front of them.

An Nuan peeked into the room and saw lines of bookcases in front of her.

Lin Xiao Feng left her bag at the door before walking inside. He waited for An Nuan to step in and continued, “As you can see, this is the study. An Nuan, you are free to use this space whenever you need it.”

As she looked around, An Nuan finally saw that there were two desks in two corners.

“You can use this desk.” Lin Xiao Feng patted the one near to him. “There’s also another desk in your bedroom but I just thought that you would be more comfortable working on your sketches in this room. What do you think?”

An Nuan’s gaze fell on the desk.

It looked spacious and comfortable. An Nuan could imagine herself sitting behind the desk while working on her sketches.

She met Lin Xiao Feng’s eyes again and smiled. “It’s perfect.”
