Chapter 140: You Can Cook?

After showing An Nuan around the second floor, Lin Xiao Feng finally took An Nuan to her bedroom.

He pushed the door open and placed her bag near the wardrobe.

“Well, this is it.” Lin Xiao Feng turned to look at An Nuan. He flashed a smile and was unable to hide his good mood.

The person he liked for years was finally staying with him.

Now that they were together, he hoped that it would be easier for him to win An Nuan’s heart.

A man and a woman staying together under one roof. Sooner or later, something would spark between them, right? At least, that was what his friends were telling him.

“You can rest and try to familiarize yourself here,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “I’m sure that you should be tired after the flight.”

An Nuan smiled. “Lin Xiao Feng, thank you.”

“You are welcome.” He walked to the door and stopped on his track again. “There are a few hours before dinner. An Nuan, do you want to eat at home or head outside to grab a bite?”

An Nuan pondered over Lin Xiao Feng’s question. “Is Auntie Yu here to cook?” An Nuan knew from her last visit that Auntie Yu would come to the house in the morning to tidy up the place and cook. However, An Nuan did not see the older woman earlier. She wondered if Lin Xiao Feng was planning to call Auntie Yu over to cook for their meal.

“No. Auntie Yu will come over in the morning,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “If you want to eat at home, I can prepare something simple for both of us to eat.”

An Nuan looked surprised. “You can cook?”

Lin Xiao Feng smiled. “Is that surprising?” He let out a chuckle when An Nuan continued to stare at him in disbelief. “Well, I only know how to prepare something simple. I promise you, the food I made will be edible.”

An Nuan considered Lin Xiao Feng’s suggestion. Then, her gaze fell on his tired face. She remembered how Lin Xiao Feng looked when he appeared on their flight earlier that day.

Later, Lin Xiao Feng slept throughout the flight.

“Although I am curious about your cooking, I think I’ll pass for today,” An Nuan said. “Lin Xiao Feng, you should be tired after traveling around these past few days. Let’s go out and have a meal nearby. I want to look at the surroundings as well.”

“Mmm…That sounded like a good idea. I will show you around.”

Lin Xiao Feng doesn’t mind as long as he gets to spend time with An Nuan. Going on a meal together should be considered a date.

“Then, I’ll call you when it’s time to leave,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “An Nuan.” He smiled at her again. “Rest well.”

After staring at her for a few more seconds, Lin Xiao Feng finally stepped out of the room and closed the door behind him.

The surroundings were quiet now that An Nuan was left alone in the room.

She inhaled a deep breath before starting to look around.

The last time she visited this place, An Nuan did not get to look around the room thoroughly. Now that she was going to live here, An Nuan needed to familiarize herself with the place.

She grabbed the bag that Lin Xiao Feng had placed beside the wardrobe and began to unpack.

The clothes that Lin Xiao Feng had prepared for her line in the wardrobe.

Three were a few dresses that she had never seen in the wardrobe previously.

An Nuan picked up a dress and thought that the dress was somewhat familiar.

After a closer look, she realized that this was the dress that she had seen during the fashion show with Ren Di not too long ago.

The dress was up to her taste. The style was something she would usually wear. However, it was still wasteful for him to buy a lot of clothes for her.

She walked to the sofa to pick up her phone in her handbag.

“Nuan Nuan,” Ren Di’s cheerful voice was heard as soon as An Nuan picked up the phone. Ren Di was smiling brightly in front of the camera. “What are you up to? I think you should be in Capital City by now.”

“Hmm…” An Nuan sat on the bed and slammed her body against the mattress. “I arrived in Capital City an hour ago. Right now, I’m busy unpacking my stuff.”

Ren Di laughed happily. “Nuan Nuan, let me take a look at your room. I remember you mentioned that Lin Xiao Feng had decorated your room in a style that you like. Come on. Give me a tour.”

An Nuan chuckled. She turned the camera to let Ren Di see the room. “Take a look.” She walked around the room with the phone in her hand to give Ren Di a tour of the place.

The two friends chatted for a while about the room. Once An Nuan had shown Ren Di enough, she returned to her bed and sat down. “What do you think? This room is quite large, right? Ren Di, the next time you come over, you can stay here. We can share a room.”

“Won’t your husband become unhappy if I take away his wife for a night?” Ren Di teased.

“Don’t talk nonsense. My relationship with Lin Xiao Feng isn’t that way,” An Nuan said. “Right now, I think we can consider our relationship as housemates. Two people living together without any feelings involved.”

“I know. I was just teasing you.” Ren Di heaved a sigh. “But Nuan Nuan, you always set a boundary between you and Lin Xiao Feng. Aren’t you afraid that after living together for a while, your feelings towards him would grow?”
