“Lin Xiao Feng?” An Nuan smiled when their gazes met. “Why are you rushing over?”

His lips parted, wanting to say something. However, the words he wanted to say were stuck in his throat. Lin Xiao Feng could not tell An Nuan that he was anxious to head home, knowing that she would be there.

However, the house was too quiet when he returned. He called An Nuan but was unable to reach her. He texted her and waited for her reply. Once he knew where she was, Lin Xiao Feng rushed over, too eager to see her.

“Are you worried that I might get lost?” An Nuan tilted her head to one side. “Lin Xiao Feng, I am not a child.”

There was another brief silence between them as they both continued to watch the game.

Suddenly, one of the boys spotted Lin Xiao Feng sitting on the bench. He raised his hand to stop the game before coming out of the basketball court.

“Brother Lin.” The teenage boy had a bright smile on his face. “When did you come over? Would you like to play?”

Lin Xiao Feng wanted to decline the boy’s invitation. But he then recalled his friend’s suggestion again. Subconsciously, Lin Xiao Feng shifted his gaze to An Nuan.

“Brother Lin, this is…” The teenage boy noticed that Lin Xiao Feng was looking at An Nuan as if he was asking for her opinion.

“My wife.” Lin Xiao Feng smiled.

“It turned out to be our sister-in-law.” The teenage boy nodded politely at An Nuan. “Hello.”

The smile on An Nuan’s lips turned awkward.

Why was this young boy addressing her ‘sister-in-law’?

“Sister-in-law, can borrow Brother Lin’s time for a bit?” The teenage boy looked excited. “We’ll just play for a few minutes.”

“Do you think that I can play basketball with you in this outfit?” Lin Xiao Feng lowered his gaze to look at his shoes.

The teenage boy followed Lin Xiao Feng’s line of gaze and smiled. “Brother Lin, we have an extra pair of shoes. Your foot size should be the same as Ling Rui’s size.”

An Nuan almost laughed when she saw the anticipated look on the teenage boy’s face. She poked Lin Xiao Feng’s waist with her elbow and said, “Go ahead and play. I’ll wait for you.”

They formed two teams with five members on each side.

After a brief hesitation, An Nuan stood up from the bench and walked over.
