The way An Nuan looked at Lin Xiao Feng turned softer, knowing that this man was waiting for her to return.

Whenever Lin Xiao Feng did not have to attend any social dinner, they would have their meal together.

An Nuan had her meal with Han Yue Xiu and was worried that Lin Xiao Feng had not eaten anything yet.

Her body felt warmer as she thought of him waiting for her in the living room again.

The only person who would wait for her each time she came home late was her mother.

An Nuan tossed her bag on the sofa before heading to the bathroom to wash up. An Nuan stepped out of the room while humming a song. Her hands moved to dry her long hair. She walked to the vanity table and started to apply her skincare.

The sound halted her movement.

An Nuan sat at the chair quietly, not daring to make any move.

It took her a while before An Nuan finally dared to move again. She turned to the bathroom door, remembering that the sound came from the area.

What happened?

An Nuan subconsciously glanced at the clock.

Her heart was beating fast when she saw that it was ten minutes to three in the morning.

The scene from the movie she watched earlier came to her mind.
