Chapter 199: Prettier than the Moon

Lin Xiao Feng paid for their meal and took An Nuan home. As he walked towards the entrance, Lin Xiao Feng noticed that An Nuan was still standing next to the car.

He stood up straight, wondering what was going through her mind.

After watching her for a bit, Lin Xiao Feng walked over to An Nuan’s side and followed her line of gaze. “What are you looking at?”

An Nuan turned to look at him and smiled. “I just thought that the night sky looked pretty today.”

The moon hidden partly behind the cloud was bright, making the cloud look especially pretty.

“You are right.” Lin Xiao Feng heaved a sigh. It felt as if the scenery before him looked especially pretty with the person beside him.

Of course, Lin Xiao Feng felt that the person beside him was prettier than the moon in the sky.

Lin Xiao Feng glanced at An Nuan. Seeing that she was not about to head into the house, Lin Xiao Feng took off his coat and draped it on An Nuan’s shoulders. He adjusted the coat on her body so she would be comfortable.

The sudden warmth on her body made An Nuan look up. The gentle look on Lin Xiao Feng’s face made An Nuan look away again.

She wondered if it was the wine that she had drunk before. But her heart was beating especially hard against her ribcage. An Nuan placed a hand on her chest. She was worried that her heart would jump out of her chest with the way it was beating.

An Nuan held the coat around her body tighter.

The warmth from the coat was very comforting. Each time she inhaled, An Nuan could smell the scent of Lin Xiao Feng’s perfume. His scent was quite nice. But with his coat and his scent all around her, An Nuan felt as if she was in Lin Xiao Feng’s embrace.

“Do you want to take a walk?” Lin Xiao Feng suggested when he saw that An Nuan seemed to enjoy the night breeze. “It has been a while since we took a walk at the park?”

An Nuan pondered over Lin Xiao Feng’s suggestion and nodded. “Alright. Let’s go. I could get some fresh air.”

She figured that taking a walk would help her to sleep better at night.

Lin Xiao Feng took An Nuan’s hand and entwined her fingers with his before leading her toward the community park near their house.

The streetlight around the residential area made it easier for them to walk around.

An Nuan was not in a hurry to head back into the house.

Moreover, she still wanted to spend a bit more time with Lin Xiao Feng.

Something that Ren Di had said to her earlier that day still lingered in her mind.

An Nuan thought that if she was to spend more time with Lin Xiao Feng, she might be able to figure out her feelings.

The community park was quite lively when they reached the place.

An Nuan watched as the elders danced and envied their carefree life.

An Nuan chuckled. “I just envied the elders a bit. You see, they were very happy and carefree. When I get older, I hope that I can be as happy and carefree as they are.”

“That’s not impossible,” Lin Xiao Feng said. A gentle smile graced his lips. “An Nuan, if you wish for it, I will help you make it true. In the future, when we both get older, I will accompany you to go dancing.”

An Nuan was stunned to hear Lin Xiao Feng’s words.

She had not imagined that Lin Xiao Feng had envisioned growing old with her.
