Lin Xiao Feng headed to the study to look at some documents.

He was planning to take a long break from the office for his wedding photoshoot before heading to Y City to attend Qi Zheng’s wedding banquet. Lin Xiao Feng planned to settle a few of his works so that he could have a relaxing vacation with An Nuan.

After staying in the study for a while, Lin Xiao Feng finally decided that it was time for bed.

He walked out of the study and paused.

His brow furrowed when he heard some music coming from downstairs.

It seemed that she was still in the living room, doing her work.

Since then, An Nuan tried to go to bed earlier.

It was now past midnight.

He turned around, deciding to head downstairs to check on An Nuan.

An Nuan told him earlier that she was going to sort out some documents before heading to bed. But now, it seemed that she was no longer looking at her documents.

His expression grew softer when he saw An Nuan with her head on the coffee table. The papers scattered under her head.

From the look of it, it seemed that his wife had fallen asleep while doing her work.

Lin Xiao Feng tiptoed into the living room and crouched next to his wife.

A faint smile appeared on his lips as he watched the sleeping An Nuan.

Lin Xiao Feng stretched his hand to push a few strands of hair away from her face.

He crossed his arms on his chest and stared at his wife’s sleeping face for a long time.

Her face was calm and serene.

Lin Xiao Feng thought that he did not mind staring at An Nuan’s sleeping face forever.

After watching her for a while, Lin Xiao Feng finally retracted his gaze.

Although he would love to watch her sleeping face forever, Lin Xiao Feng could not allow An Nuan to sleep in the living room in this position for a long time.

When An Nuan wakes up tomorrow, her neck will be in pain.

Lin Xiao Feng gathered the papers on the coffee table and put them on one side. Then, he turned off the television and used the remote control as a paperweight.

His gaze then fell on An Nuan’s sleeping figure again.

Lin Xiao Feng wondered if he should wake An Nuan up and let her return to her room to sleep.

Lin Xiao Feng glanced at An Nuan anxiously.

He was afraid that An Nuan would wake up while he tried to lift her up. Then, would she think he was taking advantage of her?

Seeing that she was sleeping soundly finally gave him a sense of relief.

His hold around her body tightened. Then, Lin Xiao Feng turned around and headed upstairs.

His steps were slow and quiet.

Once in a while, Lin Xiao Feng would glance at An Nuan, worrying that his hold would make her uncomfortable and An Nuan might wake up while she was still in his arms.

Finally, Lin Xiao Feng reached An Nuan’s bedroom.

Fortunately, her door was slightly ajar.

He pushed the door with his foot and entered.

The room was dark but Lin Xiao Feng memorized the layout of An Nuan’s bedroom after visiting it once the last time. Once he reached the bed, Lin Xiao Feng lowered his body and placed An Nuan on the mattress gently.

He peeked at her face again and heaved in relief when she did not wake up.

Lin Xiao Feng wondered if An Nuan was too tired.

She was not awake once as he carried her upstairs.

Lin Xiao Feng tucked An Nuan into bed. His gaze moved up until he could see her face again. This time, Lin Xiao Feng took his time to stare at her face for a while longer.

It felt as if his heart was about to turn to marshmallow the longer he stared at her. It felt as if his heart was turning soft and sweet.

Subconsciously, Lin Xiao Feng moved to push a few strands of hair away from An Nuan’s face. Then, he leaned in and pressed his lips against An Nuan’s forehead.

Lin Xiao Feng pulled back once he realized what he had done.

His heartbeat accelerated.

Lin Xiao Feng glanced at An Nuan guiltily.

Fortunately, An Nuan was still sleeping and had not noticed what he had done.

Lin Xiao Feng exhaled a breath of relief. However, he also knew that he had to leave very soon before An Nuan would wake up and see him in her room.

He stood up quickly and headed to the door.

The door was closed with a soft thud.

The atmosphere in An Nuan’s room turned quiet.

A few seconds passed.

Lin Xiao Feng would never have thought that a few seconds after he left, the person lying on the bed would open her eyes.

An Nuan stared at the ceiling, unblinking.

Her heart was beating very fast and her body felt hot all over.
