Chapter 214: Shopping Date

When An Nuan looked out the window, she realized Lin Xiao Feng had parked his vehicle in front of Etoile Shopping Mall, one of the high-end shopping mall in the country. As the car stopped, a young man in a black shirt and pants walked over.

Lin Xiao Feng alighted from his car and helped An Nuan with the door before tossing his car keys to the valet.

Earlier, Lin Xiao Feng told her he was taking her on a date. Now that they were at the luxurious shopping mall, An Nuan realized that she had not asked him what they were going to do.

“Lin Xiao Feng?”

“Hmm?” He turned around when he heard An Nuan’s voice. Subconsciously, Lin Xiao Feng’s eyes fell on their intertwining hands, making him smile.

“Where are we going?” An Nuan asked. She noticed that Lin Xiao Feng seemed to be in a good mood.

“Shopping.” Lin Xiao Feng chuckled at An Nuan’s reaction. “We’re going to D Town next week, remember? Lu Xun said the temperature around this time is a bit colder over there. We should buy a few clothes before going.”

An Nuan naturally remembered that they were going to D Town for their wedding photoshoot. This was not the first time that Lin Xiao Feng had spoken about it.

From the look at it, An Nuan was sure that Lin Xiao Feng was looking forward to it.

In the beginning, An Nuan did not care much about the photoshoot. After all, this was going to be just another wedding for her. But now… she had to admit that she was looking forward to their trip.

Of course, An Nuan would convince herself that she was excited to visit a beautiful town like D Town.

“I already have a lot of clothes in my wardrobe. I don’t think I’m going to need another one,” An Nuan muttered.

A sigh escaped her lips as she remembered the number of clothes Lin Xiao Feng had prepared for her before she moved in. She had been staying in Capital City for a while and had yet to wear every piece of clothing in her wardrobe.

“Just buy one or two while we are here,” Lin Xiao Feng said. A faint smile curled on his lips, making his expression soften. “An Nuan, I just want to buy something for you while we’re shopping.”

An Nuan stared back at Lin Xiao Feng with a hint of amusement. “Why?”

“What do you mean why?” Lin Xiao Feng chuckled. “We are on a shopping date. Of course, I wanted to pamper you a little more.”

An Nuan was stunned to hear Lin Xiao Feng’s words.

She quickly composed herself and walked away.

Lin Xiao Feng’s words were simple.

But each time he spoke, An Nuan would feel her blood rushing to her head all at once. It felt as if her head would explode from shyness.

She was not like this in the past.

But then again, Lin Xiao Feng no longer restrained himself now that he was pursuing her.

An Nuan wanted to run off after listening to Lin Xiao Feng’s words but Lin Xiao Feng was still holding her hand. In the end, An Nuan ended up dragging Lin Xiao Feng with her.

“Where should we go first?” Lin Xiao Feng asked.

By this time, An Nuan had composed her thoughts. “It’s up to you.”

Lin Xiao Feng smiled before taking An Nuan from shop to shop.

Initially, An Nuan walked into the mall without the intention to buy anything. But after listening to Lin Xiao Feng’s praises, An Nuan could not stop from choosing a few clothes.

An hour later, she realized that the five bags in Lin Xiao Feng’s hand belonged to her.

She did not expect that Lin Xiao Feng would have too much energy going from shop to shop. He took an interest in an outfit and managed to convince her that she would look great in it.

An Nuan had to admit that Lin Xiao Feng was right.

She went into the changing room and looked at her figure in the mirror. The outfit that Lin Xiao Feng chose for her indeed looked good on her. An Nuan liked them so much that she could not reject the clothes when Lin Xiao Feng took them to the counter and paid for them.

An Nuan gave a sideways look to Lin Xiao Feng, giving him a silent lookover.

This person was very good at convincing people.

“You are good at shopping. I thought that most men did not have patience accompanying a woman to shop,” An Nuan said. “My father and elder brother for example… they would rather head to the office for a meeting than accompany my mother to shop.”

Of course, An Nuan would never mention her ex. Back then, Pei Zhi Yi would rather sit in a cafe and wait for her.

Lin Xiao Feng could not hold back his laughter. He composed himself quickly but the smile remained on his face. “I am an only child of my parents,” Lin Xiao Feng explained. “Ever since I was a little boy, my mother would drag me to accompany her shopping. When I was a little older, she made me carry her bags.”

An Nuan raised a brow. “Your mother taught you about fashion as well? Lin Xiao Feng, how come you know how to choose an outfit?”

“You don’t like them?” Lin Xiao Feng glanced at the paper bags in his hands.

“I like them. That is the problem. Speak. Did someone give you a pointer?”

Lin Xiao Feng pondered over An Nuan’s words and said, “Choosing an outfit for you isn’t difficult. And I don’t need anyone to give me a pointer.” He looked at An Nuan gently. “I took one look at the outfit and imagined that it would look good on you. And I was right.”
