Chapter 217: Sleeping Arrangment

An Nuan fell asleep a few times because of their long journey.

Each time she opened her eyes, she saw Lin Xiao Feng concentrating on his driving. She offered to drive a few times but Lin Xiao Feng said to leave the driving to him. Meanwhile, her task was to sit beside him as a passenger princess.

After a few stops for gas, toilet breaks, and food, Lin Xiao Feng’s car finally entered D Town.

An Nuan looked out the window and admired the pine forest and the clear water she could see from the car.

D Town’s scenery was something that she could not see in another place.

It was truly beautiful.

After living in big cities like Y City and Capital City, coming to a small town surrounded by nature was a good change.

Lin Xiao Feng glanced at An Nuan and saw the excited look on her face. He slowed down the car and rolled down the window, allowing fresh air to come in.

“Lin Xiao Feng.” An Nuan turned to look at him. The wind was blowing on her face. Therefore, An Nuan had to push the strands of hair away from her face. “This place is really beautiful.”

His hand on the steering wheel tightened. Lin Xiao Feng thought that the smile on An Nuan’s face was prettier than the scenery outside.

If only he was not driving right now, Lin Xiao Feng would take out his phone and snap a few photos of An Nuan.

He was glad that he decided to take An Nuan to D Town. It was good that she was happy.

Both of them could treat this as a vacation after working hard these past few days.

After driving for a while, Lin Xiao Feng finally reached the hotel where they would be staying.

An Nuan looked at the building in front of her and suddenly wondered about their sleeping arrangement.

While living with him, the two of them would sleep in two different rooms. Now that they were away, Lin Xiao Feng would book two rooms, right?

An Nuan wanted to ask but was too shy to bring up the matter.

Lin Xiao Feng walked to the receptionist to register. The process went smoothly. A few minutes later, An Nuan saw Lin Xiao Feng holding onto one room card.

Her heartbeat accelerated.

The thought of them sharing a room made her panic.

However, An Nuan did not say anything. She followed Lin Xiao Feng quietly, deciding to bring up the matter about their sleeping arrangement once they arrived at the room.

They finally arrived at their room on the third floor while An Nuan was busy thinking about other things.

Beep!

Lin Xiao Feng pushed the door open and turned to An Nuan. “Ladies first.”

An Nuan had a taut smile as she entered the room. She scanned her surroundings and finally realized that she had been worrying about nothing.

The room that Lin Xiao Feng booked was a two-bedroom suite. Naturally, they would not be sleeping in the same room.

“What do you think?”

Lin Xiao Feng’s voice snapped An Nuan out of her thoughts.

“This hotel isn’t that bad, right?” Lin Xiao Feng continued. He walked over to the window and looked at the scenery outside. “There is no fancy hotel in D Town. This place is quite small but this is considered the best.”

An Nuan smiled. “I think it’s alright. This hotel gave off a cozy feeling. It looks clean. I think that’s enough.”

Lin Xiao Feng studied An Nuan briefly. Seeing that An Nuan did not mind the smaller hotel put him at ease. An Nuan was pampered by her parents and elder brother since she was young. He was a bit worried that An Nuan would be uncomfortable.

An Nuan walked over to Lin Xiao Feng’s side before pushing the sliding doors to the balcony. The lake scenery in front of her was too beautiful.

“This lake is huge!” An Nuan commented. “The water looks clean.”

Lin Xiao Feng chuckled. “Well, D Town’s lake is quite popular for it.”

An Nuan looked at the lake again. She wanted to go down and walk around the lake.

“Let’s rest for a bit,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “Later, we can walk around the lake and find a place to have dinner.”

An Nuan smiled, wondering how Lin Xiao Feng knew what was going through her mind.

They have plenty of time to walk around the place.

As the thought came to her mind, An Nuan turned to Lin Xiao Feng again. “Lin Xiao Feng, you didn’t tell me what we are going to do while we are in D Town other than for the photo shoot.”

They planned to stay in D Town for five days. Their wedding photoshoot would take a whole day. Then, they still have a lot of time to spend around the town.

“What do you feel about hiking?” Lin Xiao Feng asked.

“I’m fine with it,” An Nuan said. “Back then, I used to join a few of my classmates hiking.”

“Then, should we go hiking tomorrow morning?” Lin Xiao Feng said. “I heard that the sunrise view in this town is very pretty.”

“But I didn’t bring proper shoes,” An Nuan said with a sigh. Her eyes narrowed. “You should have told me earlier.”

“It’s alright. I think we can buy a new pair of shoes for you later.”

An Nuan raised a brow. She felt as if Lin Xiao Feng was finding a reason to spend his money on her.

Lin Xiao Feng did not know what was going through An Nuan’s mind but he thought that her reaction was quite interesting to look at.

“I heard that there were also a few spots where we could watch fireflies at night,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “If the weather permits, I will take you to watch them.”

The light in An Nuan’s eyes lit up. “How do you know so much? I’ve read about D Town before coming over. I did not see anything about fireflies.”

“It’s Lu Xun.” Lin Xiao Feng smiled. “He had visited this town a while ago and gave me a list of interesting things we could do around here.”
