Chapter 219: Early Wedding Present

The couple walked to the restaurant that the receptionist had suggested.

The restaurant’s atmosphere was quite lively. From the look of it, the restaurant seemed quite popular among the locals.

A polite-looking server greeted them at the entrance before leading them to a seat with a lake view.

Initially, An Nuan thought that there would be a lot of mosquitoes if they were seated near the lake. Unexpectedly, she was not bitten by a mosquito once.

The air was fresh and the view was good.

Being in D Town was quite relaxing.

The server returned to their table and introduced a few of the local specialties.

As this was the first time they visited the small town, An Nuan and Lin Xiao Feng both decided to listen to the server’s advice and try the local specialties.

Once the server left, Lin Xiao Feng turned to An Nuan again.

Seeing the way Lin Xiao Feng was looking at her made An Nuan wonder if this man was going to nag her to order some wine. “Are you going to nag me for ordering wine again?” An Nuan asked. “Lin Xiao Feng, I’m going to take a few sips, that’s all.” She put on an innocent look on her face so that she could get away with it.

“I’m not going to nag you.” Lin Xiao Feng had a helpless look on his face. “Drinking a little bit is fine.”

The last time they went out, he had observed An Nuan a little bit. As long as she did not go crazy like the last time, it should be alright.

“We can use this chance to celebrate,” Lin Xiao Feng continued.

“Celebrate what?” An Nuan looked at Lin Xiao Feng inquiringly.

Their conversation halted as the waiter walked over to their table to deliver the drinks.

The server presented the bottle of wine to the couple and popped it open. After pouring the wine into the couple’s glasses, the server finally left.

Lin Xiao Feng picked up the wine glass on his side and raised the glass. “An Nuan, you are now a big boss. Of course, we should celebrate your new company.” He raised a brow and motioned towards An Nuan’s glasses on the table. “An Nuan, I wish for your company to grow steadily and prosper.”

An Nuan laughed. She finally raised the glass on the table and the couple took a sip from their glasses. “Thank you for your wish. Once I make a lot of money, I’ll definitely treat you to a good meal.”

Lin Xiao Feng smiled.

He wanted to say that what he was waiting for the most was the wedding ring that he had requested her to design for her. Lin Xiao Feng wondered if An Nuan had forgotten about his request.

The ring on his finger was too loose.

“Hmm…” An Nuan smiled happily as the tart and sweet taste of the wine filled her mouth. “This wine tasted really good.”

The cherries from D Town tasted good. Their wine tasted quite special as well. She wondered if she could take a few bottles home. She would like to share it with her family and friends.

The couple continued to chat while they had their meals.

The food was fresh and tasty. When An Nuan looked up again, she realized that her plate was empty. She did not realize that she had eaten so much.

Her stomach was full and she was in a good mood.

Just then, a figure blocked the light above them.

An Nuan raised her head and saw an unfamiliar figure in front of her. The man was looking at Lin Xiao Feng with a smile on his face.

“Mr. Lin.”

The light in Lin Xiao Feng’s eyes lit up. He stood up and stretched his hand to the man. “Mr. Long. I did not expect to see you here.” He stretched his hand into a handshake.

“This is my hometown.” The man smiled. “I heard from Lu Xun that you would be visiting this town. I did not expect I would run into you here.” He shifted his gaze to An Nuan before turning to Lin Xiao Feng again. “This is your wife?”

“Hmm…” Lin Xiao Feng nodded. “Mr. Long, this is my wife, An Nuan.”

An Nuan stood up and exchanged polite greetings with Long Fei.

“An Nuan, this is Mr. Long Fei,” Lin Xiao Feng introduced. “You might be familiar with his company, Blue Media Group.”

It did not take An Nuan too long to recall the company.

Blue Media Group was one of the biggest media companies in the country. They owned a broadcasting station.

Lin Xiao Feng chatted with Long Fei while An Nuan stood at the side.

They wanted to invite Long Fei to join them for a meal but Long Fei declined as he did not want to disturb the couple on their date.

As a local to the small town, Long Fei did not forget to introduce a few good spots for the couple to visit.

Long Fei could not hide his surprise when he heard that Lin Xiao Feng and his wife were in D Town for their wedding photoshoot.

“Then, I will give you an early wedding present,” Long Fei said. “I have a private boat. I will lend it to you for as long as you are in this town. Going around this town via a boat is more convenient than a car.” His lips turned to a smile. “You can use it for your wedding photoshoot as well. I will provide a driver for you as well.”

“This…” Lin Xiao Feng was suddenly embarrassed.

“Don’t decline. After all, this is your wedding present.”

With Long Fei’s words, Lin Xiao Feng could only accept his gesture.

After exchanging a few more words, Long Fei finally left.

Lin Xiao Feng watched as the man left before turning to An Nuan again. “Mr. Long went to the same university with Yu Han and Lu Xun. They were quite close. I have met him a few times but I never expected that he would be a local here.”
