Chapter 221: Sunrise

With one swift move, Lin Xiao Feng stood up again with a small backpack on his front and his wife on his back.

The move made An Nuan tense. Fearing that she might fall, An Nuan held Lin Xiao Feng’s shoulders a little tighter. After a few steps, An Nuan gradually relaxed upon noticing Lin Xiao Feng’s steady pace.

Guide Zhou Yi watched Lin Xiao Feng for a while. Seeing that he had no problem carrying An Nuan while hiking, the guide finally let his guard down. He took out his phone again to snap some photos and recorded a short video.

An Nuan leaned on Lin Xiao Feng’s shoulder while observing the man.

She had decided to ask Lin Xiao Feng to let her down the moment she noticed he was getting tired.

Carrying her while climbing up was not an easy task. How can he say that she’s not heavy?

A group of people scattered around the mountaintop as they waited for sunrise.

Lin Xiao Feng crouched down to let An Nuan off.

Following Guide Zhou Yi, the couple finally reached a quiet spot.

An Nuan looked around the mountain in excitement.

They haven’t missed the sunrise!

While An Nuan was busy documenting the scenery with her phone, Lin Xiao Feng kept his eyes on his wife, worried that she might stumble on a rock and fall.

Seeing the excited look on An Nuan’s face made Lin Xiao Feng smile. He was glad that An Nuan was enjoying their hike.

“Mr. Lin, Mrs. Lin, let’s have a drink.” Guide Zhou Yi took out his thermos and a few paper cups from his bag. He poured a cup of coffee from his thermos before looking at Lin Xiao Feng again. “Coffee?”

Lin Xiao Feng nodded before accepting the guide’s offer.

The mountaintop was naturally colder. Drinking some coffee while enjoying the mountain scenery felt quite good.

“An Nuan.” Lin Xiao Feng waited for her to look at him. “Come on. Let’s drink some coffee.”

An Nuan wanted to continue shooting some videos but the scent of the coffee was too tempting.

The couple sat with the guide together.

While An Nuan was enjoying her hot coffee, Lin Xiao Feng continued to chat with the guide about the town. Through his conversation with the guide, Lin Xiao Feng found out that Long Fei’s family was very rich. Most of the businesses in D Town belonged to their family.

That was probably the reason Long Fei could offer them to use his boat for as long as they stayed even when Lin Xiao Feng was not that close to him.

While their conversation shifted to a good breakfast spot in D Town, An Nuan noticed that the people around the mountaintop began to look towards the east.

“It’s starting,” Guide Zhou Yi commented.

An Nuan happily took out her phone again to record the sunrise.

Meanwhile, Lin Xiao Feng followed his wife closely as he was afraid of any mishap.

“Lin Xiao Feng, look!” An Nuan reached for his arm and shook it in excitement.

Her childlike behavior made Lin Xiao Feng laugh. “Un. I’m looking.”

An Nuan inhaled a deep breath as she looked at the scenery before her.

The sun rose slowly.

The dark surroundings gradually brightened up as the rising sun cast its light over the mountains and forests. From the distance, they could see the lake water surrounded by the mountains.

The curve of the mountain made it look like an imposing dragon, protecting the lake.

It was too breathtaking.

An Nuan turned to Lin Xiao Feng, wanting to say something when she saw the light illuminating his face, making her heartbeat.

A thought came over her mind almost immediately.

Her husband was really handsome.

A familiar warm feeling crept to her face, making her quickly turn away.
