Chapter 224: Is He Trying to Kiss Her?

As the boat moved along the forest, they could see a few colorful birds and monkeys. At one spot, they could see a beautiful green snake on the tree. At another spot, the lotus spread on the water and the flower bloomed prettily.

After moving for a while, the boat finally slowed down as they reached a shader side.

“If you look at that side,” the old man said as he pointed his finger in a direction. “That is the Ma family’s orchard. They are one of the largest cherry producers in D Town.”

An Nuan’s eyes lit up as she remembered the taste of fresh cherries she had eaten at the market earlier. She guessed that the cherries should be from the orchard.

“Right now, it is not the harvesting period,” the old man continued. “If you come over during the harvesting period, you can stop by their orchard and try plucking some of the fruits.”

An Nuan was interested in listening to Jang Quan’s words. She thought that it would be an interesting experience to pick up cherries. Next time, she should ask Lin Xiao Feng to come to this town again.

The boat stopped in the middle of the lake.

An Nuan raised her hand to block the sunlight from her eyes.

From the spot, she could see the forest surrounding the lake.

An Nuan inched closer to the railing and peeked into the water. Just then, a warm arm encircled her waist, pulling her away.

“Don’t get too close.”

Turning around, An Nuan found that Lin Xiao Feng was standing beside her.

A faint blush appeared on her face when she noticed their closeness.

“Be careful. You might fall into the water,” Lin Xiao Feng continued.

“It’s fine. I won’t fall. I just wanted to look at the water. It’s so deep. I wonder what is in there.”

Lin Xiao Feng stood by An Nuan’s side as he listened to her talking about the place. He could not stop smiling when he saw how happy she was.

After a while, An Nuan finally noticed that someone had been staring at her while she was rambling about the place.

“You…” Heat crept to her face even though An Nuan was doing her best to calm down. “Lin Xiao Feng, why are you looking at me like that? Is there something on my face?”

Lin Xiao Feng did not answer. Before An Nuan could hide away, Lin Xiao Feng cupped An Nuan’s small face with his hands.

The warmth from his palm startled her.

An Nuan stared at Lin Xiao Feng with her eyes wide.

Her heartbeat accelerated, noticing that Lin Xiao Feng was leaning too close.

This person… What is he trying to do?

Is he trying to kiss her?

An Nuan panicked as the thought came to her mind.

“Are you not feeling well?” Lin Xiao Feng asked. “Your face is a little hot.”

An Nuan took a step back before covering her cheeks with her hands. It was indeed a little hot.

“I’m fine,” An Nuan said. “It’s the weather.”

Lin Xiao Feng narrowed his eyes as he looked up at the sky. “You are right. The weather is a bit hot.” His brow furrowed slightly.

He should have bought a hat for An Nuan earlier.

Mr. Jiang’s laughter broke the silence.

“Mr. Lin, Mrs. Lin, you have to be careful around this area,” Mr.Jiang said. “This area is the deepest part of the lake. If you are lucky, you might see a dragon swimming around this area.”

An Nuan heaved in relief as she managed to look away from Lin Xiao Feng.

She looked at the lake water and wondered how deep the water was.

However, she did not believe anything about a dragon.

An Nuan peeked at Lin Xiao Feng quietly and saw that he had his attention on the lake water.

The scene from a few seconds ago came to her mind.

Earlier, An Nuan had thought that Lin Xiao Feng was going to make a move. Seeing him being too close made her wonder if he was trying to kiss her. Unexpectedly, he was only concerned about her health upon seeing her reddened face.

Their wedding photoshoot was tomorrow.

Lin Xiao Feng turned to the old man again and thanked him for driving them around the lake.

The light in Lin Xiao Feng’s eyes lit up at the thought of having his photos with An Nuan on the boat. After going around the lake just now, Lin Xiao Feng was sure that the photos would turn out great.

“Will that be convenient to you?”

Mr. Jiang laughed. “Of course. You are a guest of Mr. Long. He already told me that you can use this boat whenever you need.”
