Chapter 229: She was Tempted to Listen

An Nuan woke up again in the evening.

She thought that she would not be able to fall asleep despite getting too tired from the photoshoot. Unexpectedly, she doze off to Dreamland a few seconds after placing her head on the pillow.

Now that she was awake, An Nuan’s mind was again filled with her wedding photoshoot from earlier.

She remembered standing next to Lin Xiao Feng face to face.

The photographer made them look each other in the eyes for a long time.

Lin Xiao Feng’s gaze was too hot. An Nuan could feel her body burning. She wanted to look away but could not until the photographer told them he was done.

It took her a long time before she could calm down.

They tried a lot of intimate poses.

Each time An Nuan had to look Lin Xiao Feng in the eyes, her heartbeat would beat hard and fast. She felt like her heart was about to jump off her chest.

By the end of their photoshoot, her mind and heart were in disarray.

The heat from his body and his scent would always linger.

“Are you awake?”

She did not expect that Lin Xiao Feng would appear just when she was thinking about him.

“Do you want to go out for dinner?”

Lin Xiao Feng sent her another text.

“Just awake.” An Nuan sent a reply. She glanced at the time before sending another text. “It’s still early. Let’s go out and have dinner.”

Almost an hour later, An Nuan walked out of her room and saw that Lin Xiao Feng was already waiting for her.

The corner of his lips tilted to a smile the moment his eyes laid on her.

“You’re ready?” Lin Xiao Feng asked.

“Mhm…” An Nuan nodded. “Let’s go.”

An Nuan looked at Lin Xiao Feng’s hand before putting her hand into his.

This time, Lin Xiao Feng took his car and drove towards the restaurant.

While chatting with Mr. Jiang earlier, the old man mentioned to him about a few good restaurants around the town. Hearing Mr. Jiang’s praise about the place, Lin Xiao Feng decided to take An Nuan to try.

As soon as they arrived, the couple could see a dragon statue at the entrance.

The atmosphere was quite lively and the scenery around the restaurant was beautiful.

There were tall bamboos around them and the fairy lights gave off a romantic feeling.

The restaurant’s location was quite remote. Unexpectedly, there was quite a crowd the moment they stepped in.

Fortunately for them, they managed to get a table.

Lin Xiao Feng ordered a few of the restaurant’s specialties as well as An Nuan’s favorite food.

Their food arrived and the couple started to eat while talking about Qi Zheng’s wedding banquet which will be held around next week.

While she was eating her dinner, An Nuan would peek at Lin Xiao Feng a few times.

The scenes during their photoshoot appeared in her mind.

Earlier that day, they stayed close to each other.

They held hands, hugged, and almost kissed.

Now that An Nuan was looking at the person before her, it was impossible for her not to feel anything.

Her mind was filled with too many thoughts. An Nuan was unable to focus on the food on her plate.

Later, Lin Xiao Feng paid for their bills and drove back to their hotel.

An Nuan glanced at Lin Xiao Feng again.

She wondered how he could be so calm after their photoshoot earlier.

Was she the only one who was affected by him?

“An Nuan.” Lin Xiao Feng called her name as he pulled over his car into a parking spot. A smile curled on his lips when An Nuan turned to look at him. “Should we take a walk?”

It was still early. Rather than staying in their hotel room, it was better for them to walk around on their own.

An Nuan pondered over Lin Xiao Feng’s suggestion and agreed.

Holding hands, the couple walked around the town.

By this time, a lot of the shops were packing up, wanting to head home.

This time, the couple did not plan to stop by any shops.

They both had a lot in mind and thought that going for a walk would help them to think clearly.

An Nuan walked around absentmindedly.

She seemed to have something that she wanted to say to Lin Xiao Feng. However, the moment she looked at him, the words she wanted to say were stuck in her throat.
