The sky was already dark when the couple reached the dock.

Mr. Jiang welcomed them to the boat before they left for the spot.

The night temperature was colder.

Lin Xiao Feng adjusted the coat around An Nuan’s body before wrapping his arms around her waist into a back hug. His head rested on An Nuan’s shoulder.

The sound of the boat was quite noisy.

In this position, it was easier for the couple to whisper.

Mr. Jiang steered the boat and smiled.

In the past few days, he has been accompanying the Lin couple in D Town. He could see that the couple had gotten closer as compared to the first day they met.

On the first day they met, Mr. Jiang could see that the couple was quite awkward with each other.

In just a few days, their relationship had improved greatly.

Seeing them happy made Mr. Jiang smile.

After a while, the boat finally slowed down. Mr. Jiang mentioned that they were nearing the spot.

The boat moved slower along the shore.

An Nuan held the railing while trying to look at the fireflies.

Previously, An Nuan had only seen the scenery of fireflies glowing in the night on the television. Now that she was about to see the scenery herself, An Nuan was very excited.

It did not take An Nuan a long time to notice a faint glow in front of her.

An Nuan grabbed Lin Xiao Feng’s arms and gripped them tightly. “Lin Xiao Feng,” she whispered as if the firefly was going to disappear if she talked too loud. “Did you see that?”

“It’s very pretty.” She followed the solo firefly with her eyes and gasped when she saw a few more fireflies around. Soon, there were hundreds of them flying around.

The glow of the firefly was too beautiful.

Mr. Jiang finally stopped the boat at the location to allow the couple to watch the fireflies.

“Mr. Lin,” Mr. Jiang walked over while carrying a small basket in his hand. He spread a thin picnic mat on the floor before putting the basket in the middle of it. “I have prepared some drinks and snacks for you and your wife. Mr. Lin, you can have them while watching the fireflies.”

Lin Xiao Feng smiled. “I’m sorry for the trouble.”

“It’s no trouble. It was not easy for you to visit D Town. I want you and your wife to enjoy your stay here.” Mr. Jiang laughed. “Mr. Lin, you and your wife can enjoy the scenery here. I will be at the back of the boat. If you need anything, you can come over and find me.”

After exchanging a few more words, Mr. Jiang finally left.

Lin Xiao Feng walked to the picnic mat and peeked into the basket.

There were some sandwiches, potato chips, and local produce fruits in the basket. Then, Lin Xiao Feng found that Mr. Jiang had prepared a bottle of wine for them.

“An Nuan.” Lin Xiao Feng patted a spot on the mat and smiled. “Come on over. Mr. Jiang had prepared quite a lot of snacks for us.” He lifted the bottle of wine that he found earlier. “Would you like to have a drink?”

An Nuan’s eyes lit up. Drinking some wine while watching beautiful scenery would lift up her mood. Moreover, it could help her to keep her body.

Lin Xiao Feng poured a glass of wine for both of them.

An Nuan took a sip from the wine and smiled happily. “It’s delicious.”

“I’m glad you like it.” Lin Xiao Feng smiled. “Are you still cold?”

“It’s alright.” An Nuan rubbed her hands on her arms to stay warm.

Lin Xiao Feng observed An Nuan briefly. Then, he went closer to her before wrapping his arms around her body.

“You…” An Nuan looked at him in disbelief. “What are you doing?” She looked around with worry. “Mr. Jiang is still here.” An Nuan whispered. “Aren’t you afraid that he might see us?”

Being intimate with Lin Xiao Feng in the past and present felt different.

In the past, they were pretending to be a happy couple. But now, they were no longer pretending.

Now that everything was real, An Nuan was a bit shy.

“Mr. Jiang is resting in the back,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “An Nuan, you and I are husband and wife. So what if Mr. Jiang sees us? He would not mind. Let me hug you and keep you warm.”

An Nuan narrowed her eyes. “You just wanted to take advantage of me.”

Her words made Lin Xiao Feng laugh. He did not care what An Nuan thought. He just wanted to stay close to her.
