“Nuan Nuan?” Shi Xi called again. “Are you still sleeping?”

“Sorry to disturb you.” Shi Xi flashed an apologetic smile. “It’s just that…” She glanced at the guest’s room next to her daughter’s. “Did Xiao Feng come back last night?”

An Nuan’s heart skipped a beat when she heard that her mother was looking for Lin Xiao Feng.

She wondered if her mother might know that the man was currently in her bedroom.

“Really?” Shi Xi looked skeptical. After all, she did find the bed too neat. It looked like Lin Xiao Feng hadn’t been sleeping on it. But then, there was also the chance that Lin Xiao Feng had made up the bed before heading out.

“Uh-huh.” An Nuan nodded. “Last night, I was still awake when he returned. Mom, you don’t have to worry.”
