After washing up and changing her clothes, An Nuan went to look for Lin Xiao Feng next door.

An Nuan gave Lin Xiao Feng a lookover and thought that he looked good in his casual clothes. She had to look away while reminding herself not to get tempted by the man’s good look.

“I will look for my mother,” An Nuan said. “You should wait upstairs. Just come down in ten minutes.”

“Alright.” Lin Xiao Feng agreed, knowing that his wife was anxious. It was best for him not to tease her.

He grabbed An Nuan’s waist and pulled her into a hug. “Go and talk to your mother first. I will come over in a while.” He leaned to kiss An Nuan’s forehead. “Alright. Go.”

An Nuan inhaled a deep breath before turning around.

Her heart was beating fast.

She had her first boyfriend and was going to tell her mother about it.

“This girl…” Shi Xi could not hide her surprise when her daughter suddenly leaned closer. “Look at you. How old are you? Why are you still acting coquettishly like this?”

An Nuan observed her mother’s face for a while. She was still anxious about telling her mother. But then, An Nuan remembered that Lin Xiao Feng would be coming over in a while.

“Mom, I have something to tell you.”

“Hmm?” Shi Xi raised a brow. “What is it?”

“It’s about Xiao Feng.” An Nuan lowered her head again. “Well, actually, it’s about both of us.”

Shi Xi turned her body so that she could look at her daughter properly. She was intrigued when she heard that it was about the couple. Upon closer observation, Shi Xi noticed her daughter’s reddened ears.

The mother and daughter stared at each other while trying to suppress their tears from falling.

An Nuan shook her head. “I haven’t told her. Lin Xiao Feng… he is probably waiting for me to talk to you first.”

“When you come over this morning, I panicked and told you a lie,” An Nuan continued. “The truth is, Lin Xiao Feng was in my room this morning.”

Shi Xi turned to her son-in-law, wondering if her daughter was playing tricks on her.
