Chapter 259: You Don’t Have to Hide
Ren Di drove An Nuan back to An’s residence after dinner.

The two friends promised to meet again before An Nuan would return to Capital City.

An Nuan watched as Ren Di drove away before she stepped into the house.

The moment she entered the house, An Nuan found that the atmosphere in the house was quite lively. She followed the voice and finally found Lin Xiao Feng with their mothers in the room.

Their mothers were chatting happily while Lin Xiao Feng accompanied them.

“An Nuan.” Lin Xiao Feng was the first to notice her presence.

Hearing her name, the mothers continued their chatting and looked up.

Subconsciously, An Nuan took a step back when she saw the smiles on their faces. Her instinct was telling her that she should leave. However, reason told her that she should stay. It would be too impolite for her to leave.

“Hmm…” An Nuan forced a smile. “What is everyone doing here? The atmosphere is quite lively.” An Nuan walked closer as she spoke. But a while later, she felt a tug gentle on her wrist. Turning around, An Nuan found that Lin Xiao Feng was looking at her.

“Come. Sit here.” Lin Xiao Feng led An Nuan to his side.

“You…” An Nuan sat next to Lin Xiao Feng and frowned. She leaned closer to him and whispered, “What are you doing?”

“They already know that we are together,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “You don’t have to hide.”

In a second, An Nuan understood that Lin Xiao Feng had spoken to his mother while she went away. An Nuan looked at her mother-in-law again and finally understood her smile earlier.

Suddenly, An Nuan felt shy.

“When did you talk to your mother?” An Nuan whispered again.

“I stopped by to find my mother after I left you at your friend’s company,” Lin Xiao Feng said.

He was amused to see An Nuan leaning close to him. He thought that his wife would be shy in front of their mothers. But then, An Nuan probably did not notice what she was doing.

These days, An Nuan was getting comfortable being around Lin Xiao Feng.

Leaning close to him to speak felt very natural to her.

Both Song Luan and Shi Xi were watching their children whispering to each other. They could not hear what they were whispering about but, with An Nuan leaning closer to Lin Xiao Feng, the ladies felt that the couple’s relationship had gotten very close.

The ladies exchanged a look and smiled.

It seemed that it wouldn’t be long before they got to see the grandchild they were both waiting for.

Song Luan and Shi Xi had been friends for years.

In the past, they often joked about being a family, especially after Song Luan gave birth to a son, and Shi Xi to a daughter.

However, they did not pursue this matter, knowing that marriage was something they could not force.

The light in Song Luan’s eyes lit up. “This is a good idea. I will talk to Xiao Feng’s father and make an arrangement. Right. Xiao Feng, Nuan Nuan, when will you both be free?”

An Nuan heaved a sigh after her mother-in-law went back.

Dealing with her mother was hard enough. When her mother-in-law joined forces, it was really difficult for An Nuan. The elders were teasing her so much that she did not know what she should do.

“You can lean on me.” Lin Xiao Feng said. With one swift move, Lin Xiao Feng carried An Nuan in his arms, making her yelp.

An Nuan cupped her mouth with her hand to muffle her voice.

She shot another fierce look at Lin Xiao Feng as a warning.

“Didn’t you say that you are tired?” Lin Xiao Feng reasoned. “Let me carry you.”

“You just wanted to take advantage of me.” An Nuan snorted.

The smile on Lin Xiao Feng’s lips widened. He was not going to deny what he was doing. “My lady, where do you want to go?”

Her heart skipped a beat at the way Lin Xiao Feng was addressing her.

While she was still in a daze, Lin Xiao Feng placed her gently on the bed. He slumped his body next to An Nuan before pulling her into his embrace.

“How is your meeting with Ren Di?” Lin Xiao Feng asked.

“It’s okay. We talked about a lot of things,” An Nuan said.

She glanced at Lin Xiao Feng and wondered how Lin Xiao Feng would react if he knew that Ren Di was shipping their relationship.

“What are you going to do tomorrow?”

“Tomorrow?” An Nuan pondered over her schedule. “I’m going to visit the factory to look at the production.”

“Then, should I go with you?”

“Alright.”

Lin Xiao Feng smiled before leaning to peck An Nuan’s lips.

An Nuan stared at Lin Xiao Feng in a daze. Then, she remembered Liu Qing’s text earlier that day.

“I’m going to meet Liu Qing the day after tomorrow,” An Nuan said. “Liu Qing said, a few of our classmates will be joining as well. Lin Xiao Feng, do you want to go?”
