Chapter 269: It Hurts
“I thought you left me here alone.”

Lin Xiao Feng was startled to hear An Nuan’s words. He wondered if his wife cried because she could not find him in the room. Lin Xiao Feng could not describe his feelings right now. He imagined An Nuan liked him so much that she could not bear to part from him.

But there was also a possibility that his wife was drunk.

“I was trying to look for you,” An Nuan continued. “It was too dark and I could not see anything. Then, I accidentally kicked the table. Lin Xiao Feng.” An Nuan sniffled as she looked at the person in front of her. “It hurts. My little toe hurts.” She pointed at her toe.

Lin Xiao Feng’s feelings were a bit complicated. He thought that his wife cried because of him. It turned out that it was because she was in pain.

“Why are you so careless?” Lin Xiao Feng leaned closer to check at his wife’s toe. He could not see if his wife was injured but Lin Xiao Feng was still worried.

With one swift move, Lin Xiao Feng carried An Nuan into his arms. He placed An Nuan on the bed before crouching down on one knee to look at An Nuan’s toe.

An Nuan looked at Lin Xiao Feng and thought that their posture made it seem as if Lin Xiao Feng was kneeling in front of her.

“Does it still hurt?” Lin Xiao Feng asked. He massaged An Nuan’s toe lightly. He was worried that An Nuan would be in pain again.

“It’s alright.” An Nuan shook her head. “It doesn’t hurt.”

An Nuan thought her toe was numb now that Lin Xiao Feng was holding her leg.

“You…” An Nuan pulled her leg away from Lin Xiao Feng’s grasp.” You don’t have to massage it anymore. It no longer hurts.” she looked away in her attempt to calm down. Her gaze fell on the scenery outside the window. “What time is it?”

Lin Xiao Feng glanced at the time on his wristwatch. “Five minutes past midnight.”

“Ah?” An Nuan could not hide her surprise. “What about Qi Zheng’s wedding party?” She realized that a few hours had passed since they both came up to their room.

“It ended a while ago,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “The boys sent Qi Zheng to his wedding suite a while ago.” Lin Xiao Feng tapped An Nuan on the nose. “I tried to wake you up a while ago but you wanted to sleep longer.” His brow furrowed slightly. “How are you feeling? You told me you had a headache earlier.”

“I’m fine. I think, sleeping for a bit helps a lot.”

Lin Xiao Feng continued to stare at An Nuan, as if wanting to see if she was telling him the truth. He finally retracted his gaze once he was sure that An Nuan was fine. “I will heat up the food for you. An Nuan, you have to eat a little bit. It will make you feel better.” He patted her head and continued, “Later, you can take a shower to wash up.”

An Nuan looked at Lin Xiao Feng in puzzlement. “Shower? Aren’t we going back?”

Lin Xiao Feng smiled. “Earlier, your mom called and heard that you are feeling uncomfortable after drinking. When she heard that you had already slept, your mom said, we should both stay at the hotel and come back tomorrow.”

“Ah?” An Nuan almost could not believe what she was hearing.

Lin Xiao Feng was not playing tricks on her, right?

But then, An Nuan realized that Lin Xiao Feng was not the sort of person who would play tricks on her like this.

“Mom asked the auntie to deliver yours and my change of clothes,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “Just now, I went downstairs to pick up the bag from Auntie.” He then remembered that he had dropped the bag near the entrance when he saw An Nuan earlier.

Lin Xiao Feng turned around to pick up the bag from the living area before turning to An Nuan again. “Auntie said, she already packed your skin care in the bag,” Lin Xiao Feng said as he placed the overnight bag on the bed. “You can take a look.”

An Nuan looked inside the bag to see what her mother had packed for her.

Meanwhile, Lin Xiao Feng had a complicated look on his face.

Earlier that day, Zhang Yu Han told him that he had especially decorated this honeymoon suite for him and An Nuan as they were considered newlyweds.

Lin Xiao Feng noted that the chocolate had a few percentage of alcohol.

Then, there were some condoms in the bedside table’s drawer.

If he was to stay with An Nuan in this room tonight, there was a chance that he might go crazy.

Lin Xiao Feng snapped out of his thoughts when he saw An Nuan jump down from the bed. “Where are you going?”

An Nuan cocked her head to one side. “I’m just going to the bathroom to wash my face for a bit. Didn’t you say that I should eat something?

Lin Xiao Feng let out an awkward cough. “Right. Go ahead. I will reheat your food.” He tried his best not to look at An Nuan as he walked to the pantry to use the microwave.
