“How are you feeling?” Lin Xiao Feng asked. “Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere?” There was a hint of worry in his expression. He knew that he had tormented An Nuan last night and was worried that he had hurt his wife.

It took Lin Xiao Feng brief seconds to realize that An Nuan was looking at the whipping wound on his body.

He quickly ended the phone call before turning to An Nuan.

“What happened?” An Nuan asked.

He had almost forgotten about the old wound on his back.

Lin Xiao Feng never wanted An Nuan to see the scar on his back. They were hideous.

“Who did that to you?” An Nuan grabbed Lin Xiao Feng’s arm and forced him to face her. “There were old and new scars.”

Her eyes once again fell on the scars.

It felt as if something hard was lodged in her throat.

Her eyes grew hot. Looking at the scars made An Nuan want to cry.

“Lin Xiao Feng, what happened?” An Nuan asked again. She raised her head to meet Lin Xiao Feng’s eyes. “This scar…” Her finger brushed against the recent scar on Lin Xiao Feng’s body. “This one looked new. You were injured recently?”

Lin Xiao Feng hesitated.

He did not know what he should tell An Nuan.

However, Lin Xiao Feng knew that An Nuan would not let him go until he told her an answer that she was satisfied with.
