Chapter 277: Come Back Early
Lin Xiao Feng returned home and heard the noise coming from the kitchen.

His first thought was that someone had broken into his house. After all, it was still too early for Auntie Yu to come over.

Usually, Auntie Yu would come over once he had gone to work. Auntie Yu will then prepare breakfast before An Nuan wakes up. Then, who was in the kitchen?

Lin Xiao Feng tiptoed into the kitchen, worrying that making too much noise would startle the other party.

He did not expect that he would see his wife, standing in front of the stove as he arrived.

Lin Xiao Feng stood at the entrance while watching An Nuan cook for a while.

Seeing her panicking while trying to ensure that she would not burn the egg in the frying pan was quite interesting.

The sight of his wife preparing breakfast in the morning warmed his heart.

Once he had looked enough, Lin Xiao Feng rapped his knuckle against the door frame, gaining An Nuan’s attention.

“You’re back!” An Nuan looked at him in surprise.

The popping sound coming from the stove made An Nuan jump back with a yelp.

Worried that something might happen to his wife, Lin Xiao Feng quickly ran over to her side. “Nuan Nuan, are you alright? Step aside. Let me do this.” He removed An Nuan’s hand from the handle and took charge.

Seeing that the egg was cooked, Lin Xiao Feng turned off the stove and slid the fried egg onto a plate. He placed the spatula on the side before turning to his wife. “Are you alright? You didn’t get hurt, did you?” He took An Nuan’s hands to inspect them.

A breath of relief escaped him when he did not see any injury on An Nuan’s hand.

“Why are you cooking breakfast?” Lin Xiao Feng asked. “Are you hungry?”

Lin Xiao Feng regretted that he did not buy something on his way back from his jog. Then, An Nuan would not have to worry about food.

“Well, somewhat.” An Nuan had an awkward smile on her face.

Lin Xiao Feng’s expression made her feel bad. She did not want him to worry.

“I can’t sleep after you leave. I thought I should surprise you with breakfast.”

“For me?” Lin Xiao Feng glanced at the egg on the plate.

“Un.” An Nuan nodded.

Lin Xiao Feng’s heart warmed, knowing that his wife was thinking of him. He leaned forward, wanting to pull his wife into his arms but he stopped himself, realizing that his body was full of sweat.

“What should I do? I want to hug you but I am all sweaty.”

The look on Lin Xiao Feng’s face made An Nuan laugh.

“Then, you should go upstairs and wash up first. I’m going to continue preparing breakfast,” An Nuan said. “When you come down, we can eat together.”

“What else are you making? Let me do it.” Lin Xiao Feng glanced at the frying pan and worried that his wife would be hurting.

“No need.” An Nuan turned Lin Xiao Feng’s body and pushed him towards the entrance. “Just now, it was only an accident. I can do it. This is not the first time I’m in the kitchen. Lin Xiao Feng, you need to trust me a little bit.”

Since An Nuan had said it like that, Lin Xiao Feng had no other choice but to head upstairs and wash up.

An Nuan watched as Lin Xiao Feng walked upstairs. Once she could no longer see his figure, An Nuan continued to prepare breakfast for both of them.

The food she prepared was simple.

Lin Xiao Feng was worrying too much.

But then again, having Lin Xiao Feng worrying about her made her happy.

Other than her family members, no one would worry as much as Lin Xiao Feng.

When Lin Xiao Feng returned to the kitchen, his wife was leaning on the kitchen counter while playing with her phone.

He walked over to his wife and wrapped his arms around her body.

“What are you doing?” An Nuan giggled when Lin Xiao Feng’s nose rubbed against her neck.

“I wanted to hug you earlier,” Lin Xiao Feng said. He tightened his hug and kissed An Nuan’s cheek a few times before pulling away.

“Quickly. Let’s eat before the food gets cold,” An Nuan said. “I prepared some coffee for you as well.”

Lin Xiao Feng pulled a chair for An Nuan before sitting across from her. He looked at the plate in front of him. There were two eggs each on the plate, some toast, and salad on the side.

Lin Xiao Feng looked at the fried eggs drizzled with chili oil and thought that they looked quite appetizing.

The color was very vibrant.

“What are you looking at? Quickly taste them and tell me how it is.” An Nuan looked at Lin Xiao Feng expectantly.

Lin Xiao Feng picked up his cutlery and began to cut the egg.

When he looked up, An Nuan was still watching him, waiting to hear his comment.

“It’s good.”

The smile on An Nuan’s face widened. “Really.”

“Un.” Lin Xiao Feng nodded.

The couple ate their meal while talking about this and that.

Later, Lin Xiao Feng was unwilling to leave for work.

The two of them have always been together all the time during their trip to D Town as well as Y City. Thinking that he could not see his wife for a few hours made him unwilling.

Clearly, he was still in his honeymoon mood.

The couple stood in front of the door with Lin Xiao Feng hugging his wife tightly.

“Do you want to come to work with me?” Lin Xiao Feng asked.

An Nuan laughed. “What are you saying? I haven’t washed up. How can I appear at your office looking like this?”

“I still think that you looked pretty.”

Lin Xiao Feng raised a brow before leaning over to kiss An Nuan on the lips. He looked at An Nuan with a satisfied look on his face. “Is it sweet?”

An Nuan looked at Lin Xiao Feng in disbelief.

This person was getting shameless.

Her eyes narrowed. “Aren’t you supposed to be busy at work? Don’t let me hinder your work.” An Nuan pinched Lin Xiao Feng’s cheek and laughed at his funny-looking face. “Go on. Work hard and come back home early.”

“Hmm…” Lin Xiao Feng kissed An Nuan again. “I’ll come back early.”
