Chapter 278: Skipped Lunch
After Lin Xiao Feng left, An Nuan headed upstairs to wash up.

The girls chatted briefly as they took the elevator heading to their floor.

Once they arrived, An Nuan saw that the office was now furnished. There were a few desks and tables around. Then, there was also her office. It was small but An Nuan thought that her office was just perfect.

She took a few photos of her office and planned to show them to Lin Xiao Feng later.

It was decided that An Nuan would be interviewing a few candidates in a few days.

Once everything was prepared, the company will start fully around next month.

Assistant Lu picked up her phone call within a few seconds.

“Mrs. Lin, hello,” Assistant Lu greeted as soon as the phone call was connected. “Is there anything I can do to help?” There was a trace of worry in Assistant Lu’s voice.

In the past, An Nuan often looked for him to discuss her company’s affairs.

Assistant Lu was worried that his boss’s wife contacted him because she had run into a few troubles with the company.

“It’s nothing.” An Nuan cleared her throat. “I just wanted to know if my husband is busy today.”

The assistant’s expression eased up, knowing that it was not related to the company. Lu Zheng shifted his gaze towards his boss’s office before answering.”Mrs. Lin. Mr. Lin is indeed a bit busy today. There were a few documents that needed his attention.”

“Then… does he have any arrangement for tonight?” An Nuan asked.

“No. But I expect that Mr. Lin might stay back for a bit to look at some documents. There were some urgent documents that he needed to look at by today.”

“Oh.” An Nuan lowered her head in disappointment.

Lin Xiao Feng said that he was going to come home early but it seemed that he won’t be able to.

An Nuan understood that her husband’s work was very important but she could not help feeling slightly disappointed that Lin Xiao Feng might not be able to have dinner with her.

“Mr. Lin was quite busy and did not have time to have lunch today,” Assistant Lu said. “Mrs. Lin, I hope that you can persuade him to eat.”

“He skipped his lunch?”

“Mhm… I tried to persuade Mr. Lin to take a few bites of his food but he won’t listen.”

An Nuan frowned when she heard Assistant Lu’s words.

This person… What was he trying to do?

No matter how busy he was, he should never skip his meal.

“Coincidentally, I am around his office area,” An Nuan said. “Assistant Lu, will it be alright if I stop by his office?”

“Of course, it’s alright,” Lu Zheng said. “Mrs. Lin, I’m sure that your husband will be happy if you come over.”

“Don’t tell him,” An Nuan reminded him. She glanced at her wristwatch and continued, “I will be there in half an hour.” An Nuan planned to get some food before she headed to Lin Xiao Feng’s office.

The light in Lu Zheng’s eyes lit up. “Mrs. Lin, give me a call when you arrive. I will pick you up.”

They exchanged a few words before hanging up.

A smile appeared on Assistant Lu’s lips knowing that his boss’s wife would be coming over.

Actually, his boss has been in a bad mood since early morning.
