Half an hour later, Lin Xiao Feng finally came out from the study. After saying a few words to Old Butler Xiao, Lin Xiao Feng went downstairs to look for his wife.

“Lin Xiao Feng.” An Nuan walked to Lin Xiao Feng’s side anxiously. “What happened? How did your talk with your grandfather go?” She placed a hand on Lin Xiao Feng’s shoulder, causing the man to frown in pain.

“It’s nothing.” Lin Xiao Feng tried to smile. From the corner of his eyes, Lin Xiao Feng could see that his mother was watching him with worry as well. “Grandfather asked me about that post on the internet. I have to explain a few things to him.”

Qi Zheng did not miss the change in Lin Xiao Feng’s expression. He could see that his friend was holding back his pain.

“Xiao Feng,” Qi Zheng called. “I have something important to tell you. Should we talk in private?”

She walked over to Lin Xiao Feng and pulled his clothes.

An Nuan did not answer his question. A thought flashed in her mind as she observed the familiar-looking injuries. “Your grandfather hit you again?”

Qi Zheng heaved a sigh. He always knew that Lin Xiao Feng could not hide this matter from An Nuan. However, he did not expect that An Nuan would find out about the injury this quickly.
