Chapter 310: Meeting Grandfather Lin
During the meal, An Nuan glanced at Lin Xiao Feng a few times.

She could not help thinking about the old scars on his body.

An Nuan thought that Qi Zheng would be able to tell her the reason Grandfather Lin hit him the last time.

After accompanying Song Luan for a bit, the couple headed to their bedroom to rest.

The old Butler looked surprised to see An Nuan. “Young Madam? Why are you here?”

“I want to see Grandfather,” An Nuan said. “Is he still awake?”

Old Butler Xiao composed his thoughts and tried to remain calm. He glanced at the door behind him before turning to An Nuan with a polite smile. “Old Master is still looking at some documents. I will tell him that you are here to see him.”

An Nuan waited outside as Old Butler Xiao walked into the room to announce her presence.

A few seconds later, Old Butler Xiao came out of the study again with the usual smile on his face. “Young madam, Old Master invited you in.” He stepped aside and held the door so that An Nuan could go in.

Her heartbeat accelerated. An Nuan inhaled a deep breath before she walked into the room.

An Nuan could feel the suppressing atmosphere as she walked into the room.

She already made her decision to speak to Grandfather Lin. Even if she was afraid, it would be too late.

Grandfather Lin raised his head in time to meet An Nuan’s eyes.

“Grandfather,” An Nuan greeted the old man.

“I heard you come over to see me,” Grandfather Lin said. “This is rare.” He glanced at the chair in front of him. “Sit down.”

An Nuan sat down and recalled the last time she came into the study.

She had just married Lin Xiao Feng and Grandfather Lin was giving her a few reminders to help Lin Xiao Feng with his career. An Nuan did not expect that she would return to this room again.

“What do you want to talk to me about?” Lin Chuan reached for the teacup on the table and took a sip.

“Grandfather, this is about Lin Xiao Feng.”

“Hmm?”

An Nuan shivered as she met Grandfather Lin’s intense gaze. “Grandfather, I still think that you have wrongly punished Lin Xiao Feng.”

Lin Chuan placed the teacup back on the table. He lowered his eyes as if pondering over what An Nuan wanted to say. “You think I am being unfair.”

“Grandfather, the matter on the internet isn’t Lin Xiao Feng’s fault,” An Nuan said. “Someone deliberately took advantage of Lin Xiao Feng to slender him.”

“Then, why?”An Nuan questioned. “Lin Xiao Feng is already an adult. He did not need such a punishment.”

Lin Chuan looked at his granddaughter-in-law and did not miss the hint of anger and stubbornness in her eyes. He was amused. This young lady often looked frightened around him. But now, she dared to meet his eyes.

It seemed that An Nuan was not as weak as he had thought.

“He knows that he is an adult. Then, he should not give me an excuse to punish him. Right now is a sensitive period for him. Xiao Feng also knows that the upcoming promotion is important for him,” Lin Chuan said.

An Nuan grew angrier at the thought that her husband was punished for this.

“I trust him,” An Nuan said.
