Chapter 321: Wedding Invitation
Stella led the couple into the living room. Just as they were seated, an older woman walked into the room with an amiable smile on her face.

An Nuan stood up again and greeted, “Mrs. Lane, hello.”

“An Nuan.” The older woman nodded. “It has been a while since the last time I saw you.” She walked over to An Nuan’s side and they both exchanged a hug.

“I hope you are doing well.”

The two of them exchanged a few words.

An Nuan used to come to her mentor’s place in the past. Therefore, her relationship with her mentor’s wife was quite good.

After a while, Mrs. Lane shifted her gaze to Lin Xiao Feng before looking at An Nuan with an inquiring gaze.

“Mrs. Lane.” An Nuan cleared her throat. “Let me introduce you… This is my husband, Lin Xiao Feng.”

The older woman gave Lin Xiao Feng a lookover. “Hello.”

The two exchanged polite words.

Mrs. Lane did not seem surprise to see Lin Xiao Feng. Previously, her daughter had briefed her about An Nuan’s situation. She already knew that An Nuan did not marry Pei Zhi Yi.

Now that Lin Xiao Feng was in front of her, Mrs. Lane could not help looking at him a few times.

A helper walked over at this time to announce that the food was ready.

“Come on. Let’s head into the dining room and continue our conversation,” Mrs. Lane said.

An Nuan nodded. “Then, my mentor…”

“You know how he is.” Mrs. Lane smiled. She leaned closer and whispered, “He’s probably putting on some air, knowing that you are here to visit him.” Mrs. Lane turned to her daughter. “Stella, go and call your dad and tell him that An Nuan and her husband are here.”

Stella excused herself to find her father.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Lane led the Lin couple to the dining room.

Mrs. Lane was curious about An Nuan’s relationship with Lin Xiao Feng.

While her husband and daughter were away, Mrs. Lane took the chance to ask An Nuan a few questions.

The sound of a cough stopped their conversation.

They looked up simultaneously and saw Andrew Lane standing at the entrance with a frown on his face.

An Nuan stood up and tried to smile. “Teacher.” Now that her mentor was in front of her, An Nuan started to feel anxious again.

“Hmm…” Andrew nodded. “You are here.” His eyes then shifted to Lin Xiao Feng. His thought was a bit complicated when it came to Lin Xiao Feng. After all, Andrew did not know this man very well.

Andrew did not like Pei Zhi Yi, especially as this man wanted to stop An Nuan from designing after marriage. In his opinion, An Nuan moved on too quickly.

Mrs. Lane waved her hand at her husband. “Sit down quickly. Let’s have a meal while we talk. Otherwise, the food will get cold.”

“Dad, sit down.” Stella helped her father to sit before she moved to her own chair next to her mother.

With the way his wife was staring at him, Andrew had no choice but to start the meal.

Throughout the meal, Mrs. Lane chatted with An Nuan and Lin Xiao Feng while Andrew listened to their conversation. It did not take long for him to figure out that his student was coming to F Country this time to accompany her husband to work.

He had thought that An Nuan might change her mind and was willing to stay with Riemann for a few years. It seems that he will have to be disappointed.

After the meal, Andrew led the Lin couple to the living room while his wife tidied up the dining area.

Andrew raised his head to look at his student across from him. Seeing the hesitant look on An Nuan’s face made him wonder if he was such a scary person.

“What is it?” Andrew asked. “I’m sure that you did not come over here because you miss me.”

An Nuan had a helpless look on her face. “Teacher, I do miss you a bit.”

She was worried that her mentor was not going to be happy when he saw her. Fortunately, the man did not kick her and Lin Xiao Feng out.

It seemed that she was worrying too much. Her mentor was not as angry as she had thought.

Andrew scoffed at An Nuan’s answer. “You’re acting as if I’m going to eat you. Am I that scary?”

“I thought you were still angry because I rejected your offer,” An Nuan continued.

“You missed a good opportunity.” His brow furrowed as he recalled that he had to let go of the spot to someone else. “I am disappointed that you rejected the offer. But I am not angry.”

An Nuan smiled. She glanced at Lin Xiao Feng and recalled what Lin Xiao Feng said to her earlier.

Her mentor was angry when she decided to quit. But now that she had continued to design, her mentor was no longer that angry.

An Nuan was relieved.

She did not know how to coax her mentor if he was upset again.

“Teacher, actually…” An Nuan fished out an envelope from her bag. “My husband and I came over to hand you this.” An Nuan placed the envelope on the coffee table and slid it to her mentor.

“What is this?” Andrew took the envelope and put on his glasses. He then realized that it was a wedding invitation.

This was not the first time An Nuan came to him to deliver a wedding invitation. However, the last time she came, they both ended up parting in a bad mood.

The bad memories made him frown.

“My husband and I are going to hold a wedding banquet soon,” An Nuan said. “It will be held in Y City. Teacher, I hope that you and your wife will be able to come.”

Andrew stared at the wedding invitation for a long time. Then, he raised his head and looked at Lin Xiao Feng. “An Nuan, are you sure this guy is the right person? Not going to change your mind again?”

An Nuan did not know if she should laugh or not upon hearing her mentor’s words.

Last time, the person who changed his mind was Pei Zhi Yi.

Why does her mentor make it sound like she was the one who changed her mind?

An Nuan glanced at Lin Xiao Feng and smiled. “Well, I am sure that my husband is the right guy.” Their gazes met and her smile widened. “I am not going to change my mind.”
