Chapter 33: An Nuan’s Plan

An Nuan ate the dishes her mother had prepared heartily while telling her parents about her trip to T Country.

Her parents were listening to her attentively. But An Nuan knew that they were observing her because they were worried.

Once in a while, An Nuan’s eyes would fall on Lin Xiao Feng.

Seeing him sitting with her family felt a little strange.

But then, Lin Xiao Feng was now her husband. An Nuan guessed that she should quickly learn to get used to seeing Lin Xiao Feng around her family.

As the thought came to her mind, An Nuan picked a piece of braised meat and casually placed it into Lin Xiao Feng’s bowl while her family members were not paying attention.

An Nuan was not looking at Lin Xiao Feng. Therefore, she missed seeing the hint of joy on Lin Xiao Feng’s face.

“Nuan Nuan.”

Her father’s voice made An Nuan turn. Her brow rose when she saw the hesitant look in her father’s eyes. “Dad? What is it?”

An Qi cleared his throat. “I was just wondering… Nuan Nuan, now that you have returned to Y City, I was thinking that you should come and work for the company.”

His daughter quit her job to marry Pei Zhi Yi. Now that his daughter was not marrying that scumbag, An Nuan should think of what she wanted to do next.

A few days ago, An Qi had a discussion with his son, An Jian and they both decided to bring An Nuan into the company. Other than keeping their eyes on An Nuan, they hoped that being busy would help An Nuan get over her breakup.

“I know that you don’t have much experience in business,” An Qi continued. “But Nuan Nuan… your elder brother and I are going to teach you. You are very smart. I’m sure that it should not be difficult for you to learn.”

Lin Xiao Feng lowered his chopsticks to look at his wife. He too would like to know what An Nuan wanted to do.

The An family members exchanged a look.

None of them expected that An Nuan would plan to stay in her line of profession.

“Nuan Nuan…” Her sister-in-law, Tian Xin spoke, “Are you planning to move to F Country?”

They knew that An Nuan had a mentor in F Country. Judging from An Nuan’s relationship with her mentor, it would not be impossible for that mentor to accept An Nuan back if she decided to return.

“No. An Nuan shook her head. “I don’t plan to move to another country.”

Lin Xiao Feng let out a heavy sigh. It felt as if the heavy burden pressed against his chest had gradually dissipated.

“I was thinking I should start a business in this country,” An Nuan said. “Or perhaps, I could do jewelry design freelance. Anyway, I am not planning on leaving.”

The An family members exchanged another look.

They were not expecting to hear An Nuan’s answer. However, they were happy that An Nuan had such an idea.

As long as An Nuan is happy doing what she loves to do… her family members, will fully support her.

“Besides…” An Nuan paused before turning to look at Lin Xiao Feng. “Mom, Dad… I am now married to Lin Xiao Feng. I think there are a lot of things for us to discuss before I can make a decision.”

There was a trace of surprise in Lin Xiao Feng ‘s eyes. He did not expect that An Nuan would consider him.
