Chapter 35: A Bunch of Good People

The next day, Lin Xiao Feng woke up early and stood in front of his wardrobe for a long time.

He was someone who would never get tired of wearing the same style over and over again. Long black pants and light-colored shirts were something he usually wore.

Now that he was staring into his wardrobe, Lin Xiao Feng wondered why he did not have a variety of styles in his wardrobe. Seeing that it was getting late, Lin Xiao Feng had no other choice but to pick the style he often wore.

When he walked down the stairs, Lin Xiao Feng ran into his mother in the living room.

Song Luan gave her son a look over and smiled. “You’re going out?”

“Mhm…” Lin Xiao Feng nodded.

“With An Nuan?” The smile on her face stretched wider.

Yesterday, her son already mentioned that he was taking An Nuan out for lunch to discuss some matters. Song Luan thought that it was interesting how her son was in a good mood now that he was going out with An Nuan.

She still found it hard to believe that her son liked their neighbor’s daughter for years. He liked her so much that he would face his grandfather’s punishment to marry An Nuan.

As the mother, Song Luan had never noticed that her son had feelings for An Nuan. Her son had kept that secret for years.

If he had not volunteered to marry An Nuan that day, Song Luan probably would not have known about his feelings.

Lin Xiao Feng let out a cough. “Mom, I’ll come back later with An Nuan. Don’t make too much food. I don’t want An Nuan to be too overwhelmed.”

“I know.” There was a hint of teasing in Song Luan’s eyes. She thought that it was interesting how her son was looking after An Nuan.

“Then, Mom, I’ll go out first.” Lin Xiao Feng made an excuse to leave.

Someone honked at him as he walked next door.

Lin Xiao Feng raised his head and saw that An Nuan was waving her hand from his car.

He walked over with a smile on his face and looked at the person behind the wheels.

“Do you mind if I drive?” An Nuan raised a brow.

“No.” Lin Xiao Feng chuckled. He pulled the door and slid into the passenger’s seat. “Have you been waiting for too long?” He did not expect An Nuan to be waiting for him in the car. He was planning on ringing the doorbell and waited for her inside.

“Not really.” An Nuan heaved a faint sigh. “It gets suffocating to see my parents watching me with worry. I thought that it would be better to wait for you in the car.” She rubbed her hand on the steering wheel. “This isn’t too bad.”

Lin Xiao Feng’s eyes fell on An Nuan’s hands. “Do you have a place you want to go?”

An Nuan shook her head. “Why don’t you decide? It has been a while since I stayed in Y City. I don’t know if there is any interesting place in Y City. Do you know a quiet place where we can talk?”

Lin Xiao Feng pondered over An Nuan’s question. Then, he tapped his finger on the screen to key in the address in the GPS.

An Nuan studied the road briefly before driving out of the area.

Although she did not know where Lin Xiao Feng was planning to take her, she was quite familiar with the road in Y City.

The two of them were quiet throughout the journey.

An Nuan was concentrating on the road as well as listening to the GPS. Meanwhile, this was the first time that Lin Xiao Feng sat in the passenger’s seat with An Nuan. He did not want to disturb her.

The place that Lin Xiao Feng suggested was not too far from their neighborhood.

After driving for twenty minutes, An Nuan finally spotted the restaurant.

She pulled over the car in front of the entrance and turned to Lin Xiao Feng. “This is the place?”

“Hmm…” Lin Xiao Feng nodded.

The building in front of him looked the same as the one that Su Ming Yuan had mentioned to him previously.

“Should we go in?” Lin Xiao Feng asked.

An Nuan nodded.

As they alighted from the car, An Nuan passed the car key to the jockey. They walked into the building and were greeted by a female staff member.

The couple was taken to a quiet corner where they could chat privately having their meal.

An Nuan glanced at the menu before looking at Lin Xiao Feng again. “This place looked quite nice.” She thought that the decoration and mood around the restaurant were not that bad “Did you visit this place frequently?”

“No.” Lin Xiao Feng shook his head. “Su Ming Yuan suggested this place the other day. You know him. He knows a lot of good places.”

An Nuan was not close to Lin Xiao Feng’s friends. However, she knew them as well as they went to the same school.

“It’s amazing how you and the boys are still together.” An Nuan heaved a sigh. “I lost contact with a lot of my friends after high school. It seemed that everyone went on a different path after graduating.”

Lin Xiao Feng smiled. “Mmm… The boys are a bunch of good people.” A chuckle escaped him. “Most of all, I think we all managed to stay together because of Yu Han.”

Zhang Yu Han was the person who made them all stick together.

Otherwise, with their difference in personality, Lin Xiao Feng doubted that they would all stay together.

Lin Xiao Feng could not imagine being close to someone as childish as Su Ming Yuan or someone as crazy as Feng An Yu if it was not for Zhang Yu Han. He would not know that they were all a bunch of good people who he could always rely on whenever he ran into a troublesome situation.

They were the kind of people who would come to help him if he called. No questions asked.

Now, Lin Xiao Feng could not imagine being without any of his friends. They have supported him through his life ever since he got to know them.
