“Are you sure?” Lin Xiao Feng asked again. He wanted An Nuan to be very sure of her decision.

“I’m sure.” An Nuan nodded. “If you don’t mind, we can stay as a husband and wife in name for a long time. We are friends and I don’t think it would be difficult for us to tolerate each other.”

“Of course. We are in this cooperation together. It would be troublesome if we did not communicate,” An Nuan said. “Lin Xiao Feng, you should do the same. If you find anyone you like in the future, you have to tell me. We can discuss what we should do later on.”

An Nuan blinked a few times. “Lin Xiao Feng, I did not think that you would be this nice. Aren’t you in politics? Shouldn’t you be a bit cunning?”

Lin Xiao Feng did not know whether he should laugh. “I don’t need to be calculative with my family and friends. Being in politics, I still hope that I will have people that I can trust around me. Being calculative with everyone all the time can be tiring. And I don’t want to be calculative with you.”

An Nuan heaved another sigh.

“This is what I would like to discuss with you,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “In the future, I will have to stay in Capital City a lot. An Nuan, do you want to come with me?”

She wanted to joke around and did not expect for him to ask if she would like to go with him.

“You don’t have to give me your answer now,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “You can take your time to consider my suggestion. I just thought that going to Capital City would give you a fresh start.”

An Nuan’s heart stirred. She was tempted by Lin Xiao Feng’s idea.

Having a fresh start sounded like a good idea.

No one knew who she was in Capital City. The reason she stayed in this country was to let her parents worry about her less. However, staying in Y City would mean that she will have to face her friends and family’s pity gaze.
