Chapter 51: An Nuan Feel Like a Missing Child

“You don’t have to come with me,” An Nuan said as she glanced at Su Ming Yuan. “I’ll be fine on my own.”

“I can’t do that.” Su Ming Yuan frowned. “I have to ensure your safety. Otherwise, how will I answer Xiao Feng?”

An Nuan said that the person who made the announcement was her friend.

However, Su Ming Yuan was worried that the crazy lady from earlier was pulling some tricks to find An Nuan. It wouldn’t be good if that person tried to hurt An Nuan again.

An Nuan heaved a sigh. She was too lazy to fight with Su Ming Yuan at this time. The most important thing was to find Ren Di quickly. Or else, that woman would probably make another announcement.

An Nuan arrived at the announcement booth just before Ren Di was going to make a second announcement.

Hearing the movement, Ren Di turned around and saw that An Nuan was standing behind the glass door. The frown on her face quickly disappeared. Ren Di pushed the door open and gave An Nuan a look over.

“Are you alright?” Ren Di spun An Nuan around to check for her injury. “You went away for a long time. Nuan Nuan, I was worried. Where did you go?” She leaned forward and spoke in a low voice.”Constipation?”

An Nuan hit Ren Di on the shoulder. “Don’t talk nonsense.” She glanced at Su Ming Yuan and was relieved to see that the man was too far away to overhear her conversation with Ren Di. “I will tell you later.”

Ren Di followed An Nuan’s line of gaze and finally saw Su Ming Yuan. Her brow furrowed when she realized that the man looked quite familiar.

Ren Di inched closer to An Nuan again and whispered, “Isn’t that your husband’s groomsman?”

An Nuan was in a daze when she heard her friend referring to Lin Xiao Feng as her husband.

“That’s right.” An Nuan finally nodded. “I ran into some matters and he helped me.”

Ren Di was now curious to know what happened. However, before she got the chance to ask, An Nuan had moved away from her side and went to Su Ming Yuan.

“Su Ming Yuan, I am with my friend. You don’t need to worry about me anymore,” An Nuan said as she reached Su Ming Yuan’s side. “That… Thank you for helping me.”

“An Nuan, if you continue to thank me again, you are going to make me feel like an outsider,” Su Ming Yuan said with a sigh.

Su Ming Yuan’s words were making An Nuan uncomfortable, especially as she was not that close to him. But then, their relationship was going to change when she married Lin Xiao Feng.

“Then, I won’t say it anymore.” An Nuan smiled.

Su Ming Yuan did not stay for too long, seeing that An Nuan was reunited with her friend. After saying a few more words, he finally left.

An Nuan watched as Su Ming Yuan walked away before turning to her friend.

“Nuan Nuan, your husband’s friends are all good-looking,” Ren Di commented. She remembered meeting Lin Xiao Feng’s other friend at the wedding.

“Forget it.” An Nuan waved a hand. “Su Ming Yuan is a well-known womanizer. I heard that he would change his girlfriend once every few months.”

Ren Di pondered over her friend’s comment. She felt that Su Ming Yuan did have that womanizer look on his face.

“Your husband seemed like a good person,” Ren Di said. “It was surprising that he would befriend someone like that person.”

Lin Xiao Feng’s face appeared in An Nuan’s mind.

That man often had a cool and calm look on his face. He seemed like an easy person to get along with. However, once she got to know him, An Nuan’s opinion of Lin Xiao Feng changed again. She realized that she could not really figure out what was going through Lin Xiao Feng’s mind.

He seemed like a person who would keep his thoughts to himself.

It was indeed strange how someone like Lin Xiao Feng could get along with someone as frivolous as Young Master Su.

“Nuan Nuan, you better tell me what’s going on.”

Ren Di’s voice snapped An Nuan out of her thoughts.

“Where were you?” Ren Di asked again. “I looked for you at the nearest restroom but could not find you.”

An Nuan tugged on Ren Di’s hand and took her somewhere quieter. “I ran into Sun Jiao earlier.”

Ren Di could not hide her surprise. In a few seconds, that surprise turned to anger. “Why is she here? No. Wait. Nuan Nuan, that bitch did not do anything to you, right?”

Her gaze turned to worry.

Ren Di remembered that An Nuan would often be in a bad mood each time Sun Jiao crashed into her date with Pei Zhi Yi in the past. That woman was nothing but trouble.

“She did not get to do anything to me,” An Nuan said. “Fortunately, Su Ming Yuan appeared in time to stop her.”

“What was she going to do?” Ren Di looked displeased.

“I slapped her after she said a few unpleasant words.”

Ren Di clapped and smiled happily.

“She was going to hit me back when Su Ming Yuan appeared.”

Ren Di scoffed. “It was good that he arrived in time. God. What was that woman’s problem? You and Pei Zhi Yi are no longer together. Why did she continue to bug you?”

An Nuan raised both her shoulders.

She too could not understand what was going through Sun Jiao’s mind.

Shouldn’t Sun Jiao be happy now that she was no longer an obstacle?

A thought suddenly came to her mind. An Nuan wondered if Pei Zhi Yi never told Sun Jiao that she had married someone else.
