The next day, after having breakfast with her family, An Nuan stayed in her room to work on a few jewelry designs.

The last time Lin Xiao Feng visited her room, he saw a few sketches that she was not satisfied with and asked whether she could design a new wedding ring for him.

“Nuan Nuan, I received an invitation to C.Celine’s fashion show in Capital City,” Ren Di said when she heard An Nuan’s voice. “I was wondering if you would like to go with me?”

“C.Celine?” An Nuan frowned, finding that this brand’s name sounded quite familiar.

“It’s a local fashion brand,” Ren Di said. “The brand is getting popular recently after a popular actress wore her dress at the Film Festival. I’ve been wearing their clothes even before this brand became popular. This year, I received an invitation to attend their fashion show. Of course, I will have to go, right?”

“An Nuan laughed. “Alright. Calm down. When is the show?”

“It’s on the fifteenth of next month,” Ren Di reported. “It will be held in Sun Plaza in Capital City.”

An Nuan raised a brow when she heard the show would be held in Capital City.

That city… was where Lin Xiao Feng mostly stayed, right?

“I can go with you.”

“That’s good!” Ren Di sounded happier. “Let’s take this moment to relax as well. A lot of things have changed in Capital City. I think there are a lot of places that we can visit as well.”

Ren Di continued to chatter about their next visit to Capital City. A few seconds later, she finally noticed that An Nuan was not as enthusiastic as she had thought.

“Nuan Nuan,” Ren Di called her name after a brief silence. “Are you alright?”

An Nuan wanted to tell Ren Di that she was doing alright. However, she changed her mind before the words escaped her lips. There was a matter that had been occupying her mind. An Nuan felt that she needed someone to talk to.

“Hmm…” An Nuan pondered over what she wanted to say to Ren Di. “Something has been on my mind recently.”

“Nuan Nuan, you can talk to me,” Ren Di said. “You know that I would listen.”

A faint smile appeared on An Nuan’s face. “Ren Di, I hope that you can help me to analyze a few things.”

“What is it? Nuan Nuan, I’m listening.”

An Nuan took a deep breath before deciding to tell Ren Di about the conversation she had with her sister-in-law yesterday. She mentioned the conversation with her mother-in-law as well as the dinner between the two families last night.

Ren Di was silent for a long time as she began to ponder An Nuan’s matter.

Her eyes were observing An Nuan’s expression as she tried to compose what she should say to her friend.

Ren Di could understand An Nuan’s family’s expectations. After all, Lin Xiao Feng was a good person and from what An Nuan had heard, it sounded like Nuan’s family liked this man a lot.

The An family and the Lin family have known each other for a long time and Lin Xiao Feng was someone that they watched growing up. With his personality and good background, it was impossible for An Nuan’s family not to like him.

An Nuan could grab just anyone and marry that man.

However, when she decided to marry Lin Xiao Feng, her family began to hope that An Nuan could live with this man happily.

Instead of being in a contractual relationship, they could become a real husband and wife. Perhaps, they would have a child as well.

As long as An Nuan could open her heart, it would be possible.

An Nuan heaved a long, heavy sigh. She knew that everyone was worried about her.

“But Nuan Nuan, as your friend and the person who had watched your relationship with Pei Zhi Yi overseas, I will tell you another thing,” Ren Di said.

She had stayed with An Nuan in F Country and watched her relationship with Pei Zhi Yi. She felt that she understood An Nuan a little more.

An Nuan braced herself to hear what Ren Di was going to say.

“For now, I hope that you won’t be thinking about relationships,” Ren Di said. “Nuan Nuan, you just ended your relationship with Scumbag Pei. He left you on your wedding day. I don’t want you to be sad or cry over someone like him but, Nuan Nuan, you are allowed to grieve. Take your time to move on.”

An Nuan felt her nose turn sore as she listened to Ren Di.

“When you are sure that you have moved on, then you can think about your sister-in-law and your mother-in-law’s words again,” Ren Di continued. “I hope that you can be happy. If Lin Xiao Feng could make you happy, then I would be happy for you as well. However, if you try to get into a relationship with him to forget Scumbag Pei, then I don’t think it would be fair for you or Lin Xiao Feng. Instead of being happy, both of you might suffer in the long term instead.”

An Nuan pursed her lips. As she listened to Ren Di’s words, An Nuan felt as if the congested feelings in her heart started to dissipate. Ren Di was saying words that she wanted to hear.

“You can try to get into a relationship when you are ready. Before that, you should focus on yourself. Get over Scumbag Pei and be happy.”
