Chapter 64: Small Gathering

In the evening, An Nuan put on a blouse and a pair of jeans before heading out.

This time, Lin Xiao Feng was taking her out for a small gathering with his brothers.

Those men were people that she knew. Growing up, An Nuan had attended the same school as them. However, An Nuan was never close with them as they had different circles of friends.

The thought of meeting the boys again made her nervous, especially as no one had expected that she would be married to Lin Xiao Feng. She did not know what the boys were going to think of her.

As she walked into the living area, An Nuan spitted Lin Xiao Feng and her elder brother chatting. Both men had a serious look on their faces.

Her brow furrowed as she wondered what the men were discussing.

The first to notice her presence was Lin Xiao Feng.

He was in the middle of saying something to An Jian when he noticed a figure walking in.

The moment Lin Xiao Feng saw her, he immediately stopped talking. The words he wanted to say seemed to disappear from his mind. Lin Xiao Feng stared at An Nuan with a dazed look on his face, thinking that the person who was walking into the room was really pretty.

“I am not disturbing you, am I?” An Nuan flashed a smile as she alternated her gaze between the two men. Finally, she stopped at Lin Xiao Feng. “You can continue talking to my elder brother. I’ll wait for you.”

“No. It’s fine. We’re done.” An Jian said.

“What were you two talking about?” An Nuan turned to her elder brother.

“Just a few matters about business. Xiao Feng is helping to introduce a few potential partners,” An Jian explained briefly. “Nuan Nuan, you’re going out with Xiao Feng?” He immediately changed the subject.

“Mmm…” An Nuan nodded. “There’s a small gathering.”

“Then, you better go now. Don’t be late and let others wait for you,” An Jian reminded her.

“Should we go now?” Lin Xiao Feng asked. He watched An Nuan nod before turning around and heading to the door.

An Nuan handed the car keys to Lin Xiao Feng.

They were going to meet with his friends and Lin Xiao Feng was more familiar with the location they were heading to.

The couple was silent on their way to the meeting location.

Lin Xiao Feng glanced at An Nuan a few times and noticed that she seemed to be in a good mood.

“What is it?” An Nuan asked. “You have been staring at me for a while.”

Lin Xiao Feng’s gaze was too obvious. It was difficult for An Nuan not to notice him.

She wondered if there was something on her face.

Lin Xiao Feng coughed. “No. I just thought that you seemed to be in a good mood. Something good happened?”

“Really?” An Nuan touched her face, wondering if her mood was that transparent.

After chatting with Ren Di for a long time, An Nuan was really in a good mood. The matters that had been preoccupying her mind were no longer that troublesome. Naturally, An Nuan would be in a better mood.

“I had a long chat with Ren Di earlier,” An Nuan said. “We talked about a lot of things. Probably because of that?”

An Nuan looked out the window before looking at Lin Xiao Feng again. “The gathering will be held at Zhang Yu Han’s house?”

“Hmm…” Lin Xiao Feng nodded. “It would be convenient this way. Yu Han and Jun Hao’s children will be there as well. They can run around the house.” He pursed his lips as a thought came to his mind. “Yu Han said, it’s going to be a small barbecue party. Do you mind? Hmm… His wife might also prepare some other food. She’s a good cook as well.”

“It’s fine.” An Nuan smiled. “I often heard that Zhang Yu Han’s grandfather is good at preparing barbecued dishes. I think your friend would probably use his recipe?”

Lin Xiao Feng chuckled. “Probably. His little princess seemed to share his grandfather’s taste buds. Recently, Yu Han and his wife were learning from Grandpa Zhang.”

An Nuan became interested when she heard Lin Xiao Feng mentioning Zhang Yu Han’s little princess.

She heard her grandparents mention that Zhang Yu Han’s daughter was cute.

When the little girl was born, Grandpa Zhang would brag about his cute and smart great-granddaughter.

The boys cleared their schedule ahead just to meet you again.” He glanced at An Nuan and smiled when he saw her getting tense. “Don’t worry. They won’t make things difficult for you. Not long after, Lin Xiao Feng drove into a residential area.

He drove towards a large house and pulled over his car in an empty parking area.

An Nuan looked around and noticed that there were a few cars parked around the same area.

“Should we go now?”

An Nuan turned to Lin Xiao Feng again when she heard his voice. She put on a smile and nodded.
