Chapter 65: Meeting the Boys

Lin Xiao Feng carried a paper bag full of snacks as they walked to the house.

As soon as they approached the building, An Nuan could hear the lively atmosphere going on in the house. Her heart pounded. An Nuan was suddenly nervous about meeting Lin Xiao Feng’s friends.

Lin Xiao Feng pressed the doorbell.

A few seconds later, someone came to the door and pulled the door open, revealing a friendly-looking, petite lady in front of them.

“Lin Xiao Feng, you are here.”

“Sister-in-law.” Lin Xiao Feng nodded his head politely. He turned to An Nuan and placed his hand on her back naturally. “This is my wife, An Nuan. An Nuan, this is ZhangYu Han’s wife, Li Qin Yao.”

“Hello.”An Nuan nodded. The smile on her face was a bit awkward as An Nuan felt Lin Xiao Feng’s warm palm on her back.

“Come on in.” Li Qin Yao stepped aside to let the couple in. “Everyone is waiting for you in the backyard. Xiao Feng, An Nuan, just make yourself at home.”

Li Qin Yao led the couple in and watched as they both headed toward the backyard. Then, she turned to the kitchen to finish preparing what she was doing earlier.

An Nuan followed Lin Xiao Feng closely.

The men’s chattering voices as well as the kids’ laughter could be heard coming from the outside.

“Look, the newlyweds are here.” It was Wei Jun Hao who first noticed their presence.

Hearing his words, the others stopped talking and turned to both Lin Xiao Feng and An Nuan who were walking over.

An Nuan tightened her hand tightly when she noticed that everyone had their eyes on her.

“Xiao Feng.” Zhang Yu Han walked over and patted his friend on the shoulder before turning to An Nuan. “An Nuan. Welcome to my place. Just make yourself at home. There’s no one else other than us. You can be at ease.”

An Nuan flashed a polite smile.

“Here.” Lin Xiao Feng handed the paper bag of snacks to his friend. “I bought a little something.”

Zhang Yu Han took the paper bag from his friend. “Thank you.” He peeked into the bag before looking up again. “I’ll go inside and pass this to my wife. Xiao Feng, we have started barbecuing a few foods. You can bring An Nuan to eat. Don’t be shy.”

“Thank you.” An Nuan nodded.

Zhang Yu Han turned to Wei Jun Hao, signaling him to look after everyone else before he walked away.

“Would you like to eat something?” Lin Xiao Feng asked as he looked at An Nuan.

An Nuan was hesitating when she heard Wei Jun Hao’s words next.

“Yu Han prepared his grandfather’s famous barbecued chicken wing,” Wei Jun Hao said. “An Nuan, you have to try them.”

“I’ll go over and bring a plate of chicken wings for you,” Lin Xiao Feng said. He walked to the banquet table at the side to choose some food for An Nuan.

“An Nuan, it has been a while since we saw you,” Feng An Yu said. “We were surprised when we heard that you and Xiao Feng got married.”

“That’s right.” Qi Zheng nodded. “If Yu Han and Ah Yuan did not send the photos, we might think that it was a prank.” He remembered uttering a few cursing words when he saw the photo of An Nuan in a wedding dress with Lin Xiao Feng beside her.

It was too surprising.

An Nuan could only smile. She too was not expecting that she would be married to Lin Xiao Feng.

“Xiao Feng is now out of the eligible bachelor list,” Wei Jun Hao pointed out. He then shifted his gaze to Su Ming Yuan and Feng An Yu. “Now, Ah Yuan and An Yu are the only two left. An Nuan, who do you think will be the last to end his singlehood?”

Feng An Yu clicked his tongue. “I told you that I am not playing this game.”

Meanwhile, Su Ming Yuan was looking at Feng An Yu as if he was determined not to be the last.

Recently, he met someone interesting.

After getting to know the woman, Su Ming Yuan began to think that it would be nice to have someone who could accompany him until he got old.

Perhaps, he was influenced by his brothers who were married and having children.

Seeing that his friends were talking about marriage and children, Feng An Yu quickly changed the subject by turning to Qi Zheng to ask about his research in G Country.

These past few months, Qi Zheng was staying in G Country and would only return to Y City once in a while.

He would stay in Y City briefly before going back to G Country.

Hearing that Lin Xiao Feng was going to bring An Nuan over to their small gathering, Qi Zheng naturally came back and joined in the fun.

He did not expect that when he returned to Y City the other day, he would have to look at the injury on Lin Xiao Feng’s body.

While the men were talking, Lin Xiao Feng finally returned with a plate of barbecued food for An Nuan.

An Nuan swallowed as her eyes fell on the food on the plate. The chicken wings and the beef skewers looked amazing. Her stomach let out a low growl even when she was not that hungry.

Just then, An Nuan spotted a woman walking over.

The woman smiled as she met An Nuan’s eyes before stopping next to Qi Zheng.

“An Nuan,” Qi Zheng called as he held the woman’s hand. “This is my wife, Yun Shu. Yun Shu, this is Lin Xiao Feng’s wife, An Nuan.”

“Hello.” An Nuan shook hands with Yun Shu.

She had heard that Qi Zheng was married a while ago but this is the first time An Nuan had seen his wife.

“Hello.” The smile on Yun Shu’s lips was friendly. “An Nuan, let’s sit down and talk. I’m sure that staying with the boys is not so fun.”

An Nuan turned to Lin Xiao Feng. Seeing his nod, she then followed Yun Shu with the plate of food in her hand.
