Chapter 66: Full of Dog Food

The girls sat down at a table in the garden and started to chat.

Soon, Qi Zheng stopped by to send a plate of food for his wife.

An Nuan watched the couple and saw the smile on Yun Shu’s lips when she met Qi Zheng’s eyes. Looking at the brief interaction, An Nuan could see that the two had a good relationship.

Qi Zheng did not stay for too long. After saying a few words to Yun Shu, he turned around to join his group of brothers to chat while continuing to barbecue the food.

Yun Shu watched as her husband walked away. When she turned to An Nuan again, she realized the other person was watching her. Instantly, her cheek turned a little red.

“Miss Yun, you are quite adorable.” An Nuan smiled.

“Don’t tease me.”

An Nuan chuckled. “This is the first time I saw Qi Zheng with a soft look on his face. Miss Yun, your relationship with him is quite good.”

Yun Shu smiled shyly. “Please. Just call me Yun Shu.” A breath of relief escaped her lips when An Nuan nodded to agree. “I heard from Qi Zheng that you and the boys went to the same school,” Yun Shu said. “Tell me what he’s like back then?”

An Nuan pondered over Yun Shu’s question. Then, she started to tell Yun Shu what she knew about Qi Zheng.

Actually, Qi Zheng did not change that much. He was one of the popular boys in school due to his good looks. He was good at his studies and would always hang out with Lin Xiao Feng and their gangs.

While the girls were still chatting, Li Qin Yao and Zhang Yu Ying walked out of the house while carrying more food. They placed the plate of food on the banquet table before joining Yun Shu and An Nuan.

“Sister An Nuan,” Zhang Yu Ying greeted. “It has been a while since I last saw you.”

“Yu Ying.” An Nuan nodded. Among the girls, she only knew Zhang Yu Ying. “It has been a while.”

Zhang Yu Ying is Zhang Yu Han’s youngest sister. Although they were not that close, An Nuan often met this younger woman during a social event in Y City in the past.

“Ah, you have met my sister-in-law, right?” Zhang Yu Ying turned to Li Qin Yao.

Their relationship was good and Zhang Yu Ying liked to stick closer to Li Qin Yao when she was around.

“Mhm…” An Nuan nodded as she looked at Li Qin Yao again. “We have been introduced earlier.”

“Then, you should try the noodles that my sister-in-law made,” Zhang Yu Ying said. “It’s quite delicious. My sister-in-law is a good cook.”

Li Qin Yao chuckled as Zhang Yu Ying continued to praise her.

“Miss An, just eat slowly,” Li Qin Yao said. “I hope that you will enjoy your time here.”

“Please. Just call me An Nuan.”

The girls started to chat amiably.

After a while, An Nuan finally let down her guard and began to relax. It was the first time she hung out with the girls. Fortunately, they were friendly and welcoming.

Soon, Zhang Yu Han walked out of the house while carrying a little girl in his arms. He went over to his wife before letting down the girl.

An Nuan watched the Zhang couple curiously.

Li Qin Yao was petite. Zhang Yu Han looked like a giant standing beside his wife. With his tall height, Zhang Yu Han could easily hide his wife with his body.

An Nuan was stunned to see the gentle look in Zhang Yu Han’s eyes as he spoke to his wife. After all, Zhang Yu Han was quite famous for his fierce eyes. His expression would appear fiercer each time he had a frown on his face.

Looking at the couple made An Nuan heave a sigh.

The couple looked sweet together, even when they were discussing their children.

She could see how much Zhang Yu Han adored his wife.

After a while, An Nuan finally retracted her gaze from the couple. It felt as if her stomach was full of dog food.

The moment she looked away, An Nuan noticed that someone was staring at her.

The little girl held a steamed bun in her hand as she continued to watch An Nuan curiously.

An Nuan realized that the cute little girl in front of her was Zhang Yu Han and Li Qin Yao’s famous daughter.

She had always been curious about the little girl, especially when she often heard about her from the elders.

“Hello.” An Nuan smiled at the little girl.

“Hello, Auntie,” Zhang Li Xue greeted politely.

An Nuan had the urge to pinch the little girl’s cheek when she heard the sweet and milky voice.

“Auntie, are you Uncle Xiao Feng’s wife?” Zhang Li Xue asked. She was still watching An Nuan curiously.

An Nuan nodded awkwardly. “Yes. I’m Uncle Xiao Feng’s wife.”

Li Qin Yao heard her daughter’s question and leaned over to pat her head. “Li Xue, you can greet Auntie An Nuan.”

“Auntie An Nuan.” Zhang Li Xue followed her mother’s instructions and greeted her again.

Li Qin Yao smiled as she watched her daughter. She turned to An Nuan again and said, “This is my daughter. Zhang Li Xue.”

“Mmm… She’s adorable. She had your looks and your husband’s eyes.”

Li Qin Yao laughed. This was not the first time she had heard such words. Her daughter really got her eyes from her father.

Zhang Yu Han heaved helplessly as he listened. He turned to his wife again and said, “Then, I should go and join the boys. You stay here and chat with everyone else.”
