Chapter 70: Do You Think We are Crazy?

The boys continued to barbecue more food after playing basketball for a few minutes.

Once the foods were done, everyone sat together to eat and chat.

It was An Nuan’s first time joining the gathering.

She spent her time catching up with the boys and was glad that none of them had asked about her marriage to Lin Xiao Feng or her breakup with Pei Zhi Yi.

Later, the boys helped Zhang Yu Han tidy up the plate and the barbecue griller.

An Nuan sat with the girls while looking at the children.

Zhang Yu Ying’s triplets were adorable. Although An Nuan had met the triplets briefly, she could tell that the boys had different personalities. An Nuan wondered how it was going to be when the triplets grew up.

She was sure that the triplets were going to break some hearts in the future. After all, their parents are both good-looking.

An Nuan was teasing the youngest sibling among the triplets when she overheard the girls discussing Yun Shu’s upcoming wedding.

The girls continued to chat about Yun Shu’s wedding while An Nuan continued to listen.

Later, Zhang Yu Ying went into the house with her triplets as they had fallen asleep.

Meanwhile, Li Qin Yao went to help tidy up the plates, leaving An Nuan and Yun Shu alone in the yard.

“You and Qi Zheng haven’t had your wedding yet?” An Nuan asked when Yun Shu turned to her.

An Nuan mostly spent her time in F Country in the past. It was only recently that she returned to Y City. As her family was not close to Qi Zheng’s family, An Nuan did not hear the news about Qi Zheng and Yun Shu’s marriage.

When Yun Shu was introduced as Qi Zheng’s wife, An Nuan had assumed that the couple already had their wedding.

“Mmm…” Yun Shu nodded. “When Qi Zheng and I first got together, we chose to get a marriage certificate first.”

An Nuan felt that Yun Shu’s words were strange.

Yun Shu leaned closer and continued to speak in a low tone. “Well, the others already know about this… When Qi Zheng and I got our wedding certificate, it was to stop our elders from urging us to get married. Hmm… You can say that it was a flash marriage between us.”

An Nuan could not hide her surprise when she heard Yun Shu’s story.

Her gaze shifted between Yun Shu and Qi Zheng.

She had never expected Qi Zheng to pull a flash marriage. Moreover, it was to prevent his elders from pushing him into marriage.

“What do you mean, a flash marriage?” An Nuan asked. She began to feel that Qi Zheng’s relationship with An Nuan was quite interesting.

“Well, it is what it sounded like.” Yun Shu laughed. “Actually, I met Qi Zheng a few times before we decided to get married. Hmm… the number of times we saw each other can be counted with one hand.”

An Nuan’s eyes were wide.

This information was too shocking.

How can Yun Shu marry a person she met a few times?

“Then, Qi Zheng came to me and asked if I wanted to marry him so that we could both stop our elders from setting us up with just anyone. Well, you should know that Qi Zheng’s grandfather sent him to a blind date program.” Yun Shu laughed. “I don’t know what I was thinking, but I actually agreed to marry him.”

An Nuan thought that Yun Shu and Qi Zheng’s relationship was indeed crazy.

But then again, An Nuan realized that she probably should not judge the couple’s marriage. After all, she had done something as crazy as marrying Lin Xiao Feng after Pei Zhi Yi left on their wedding day.

“Back then, we agreed to have a cooperative marriage,” Yun Shu continued. “We are going to live as a husband and wife for one year.” A faint smile appeared on her lips as the memory came to her mind. “But I did not expect that I would fall for him.”

An Nuan thought that the shy smile on Yun Shu’s face was quite adorable.

“Qi Zheng is a great person. No matter how many times I reminded myself about our contract marriage, I still fell for him,” Yun Shu said. “Later, we both talked and decided to give our relationship a try. Once we made that decision, things started to change between us. The more that we learned about each other, the more that we realized that we were good together. The feelings grew and we decided to stay in this marriage. That is why the wedding is delayed.”

An Nuan’s expression softened as she noticed how Yun Shu’s eyes were especially gentle whenever she looked in Qi Zheng’s direction. It was the look of someone who is in love.

“Thinking about it… I’m actually glad that I agreed to marry Qi Zheng in the beginning,” Yun Shu said. “Otherwise, I might miss out on such a good person.” Yun Shu laughed when she realized that An Nuan was staring at her.. “Do you think we are crazy?”

“No, of course, not,” An Nuan answered quickly. “If you say you are crazy, then Lin Xiao Feng and I are also crazy. You should know that we got married because my ex ran off.”

“I’ve heard Qi Zheng mentioned it,” Yun Shu said. “The news of your marriage was too shocking for him.”

On that day it was announced that Lin Xiao Feng got married, Qi Zheng lost his mind. He was unable to concentrate on his research as he kept thinking about Lin Xiao Feng’s crazy move.

Yun Shu also remembered that Qi Zheng had mentioned a few other things, however, it was not her place to talk about it. After all, Qi Zheng had reminded her to keep Lin Xiao Feng’s secret from An Nuan.

“Well, I can tell you that we are both not crazy enough.” Yun Shu flashed a mysterious smile. “I’m a wedding planner and I have seen a few crazy couples.”

An Nuan sat with Yun Shu as she listened to a few stories.
