Chapter 78: A Box of Chocolate

“A parcel?” An Nuan frowned. “For me?’

She was not expecting a parcel, so An Nuan was puzzled when the helper told her that there was one for her. She watched as the helper walked to the side to retrieve it.

An Nuan took the package and examined it curiously. The first thing she noticed was the logo on the package.

It was from The Orchid Hotel.

Wasn’t that the hotel belonged to Zhang Yu Han?

There was a sticker on top, telling her that the contents of the package were fragile.

“Who is it from?” An Nuan mumbled to herself.

“Young Miss, I believe that the parcel was from your husband,” the helper answered when she heard An Nuan’s question.

It was then that An Nuan finally found the shipping details on the parcel. It was sent from Capital City, and the person who sent it to her was Lin Xiao Feng.

Why did he send her a package? The last time they spoke, Lin Xiao Feng did not mention anything about a package.

An Nuan thanked the helper before she went back to her room.

The unpleasant feeling she had after meeting Pei Zhi Yi earlier had gradually disappeared. An Nuan was curious about the package that Lin Xiao Feng sent to her.

She tossed her purse on the sofa before walking over to her desk.

An Nuan tore the package cautiously and pulled out a square box.

She was surprised to find a box of assorted chocolate in the package.

There was a small window on the cover, allowing her to look at the chocolate inside.

The sweet scent of the chocolate filled her nostrils as she lifted the cover.

Each one of the chocolate pieces looked as if it was carefully made.

She picked up a piece of the chocolate and placed a piece into her mouth.

The sweet and bitter taste of the dark chocolate spread into her mouth. Then, the taste of salted caramel burst when she bit on the chocolate. It tasted delicious.

An Nuan’s mood improved greatly.

She stared at the chocolate for a long time. Without realizing it, a smile appeared on her face. She did not understand why Lin Xiao Feng would suddenly send her a box of chocolate. However, An Nuan appreciated his gift, especially as she was in a bad mood after meeting Pei Zhi Yi earlier.

An Nuan grabbed the wrapper again and looked at the shipping details. Just as she was about to put the wrapper aside, something fell from the wrapper onto the carpet.

Her brow rose.

An Nuan bent down and found a small card attached to the box of chocolate.

Her heart skipped a beat when An Nuan saw what was written on the card.

‘Happy One Month Anniversary.’

An Nuan stared at the card and finally remembered that it had been a month since she walked the aisle with Lin Xiao Feng.

A faint blush appeared on her face.

An Nuan did not expect that Lin Xiao Feng would remember such a thing.

He was someone who was always busy with work. How can he remember that it has been a month since they got together?

Seeing the name on the phone made her hesitate.

As usual, Lin Xiao Feng would call her during this time so that they could update each other on their activities. However, when An Nuan thought about the box of chocolate she received from Lin Xiao Feng earlier, An Nuan began to hesitate.

She did not know if she wanted to talk to Lin Xiao Feng.

“Hey.” An Nuan tried to smile. “Sorry. I was in the bathroom just now.”

“It’s alright.” The expression on Lin Xiao Feng’s face softened. “I figured that you should be busy with something.”

An Nuan placed her phone on her desk and looked at the man on the screen. Lin Xiao Feng seemed to be in his study. She could see a few documents piling up on his desk.

There was a brief silence between them before An Nuan spoke again. “I received the box of chocolate you sent to me.”

The light in Lin Xiao Feng’s eyes lit up. However, it quickly disappeared before An Nuan could notice anything.

“How is it?” Lin Xiao Feng asked. “Do you like it?”

“Hmm…” An Nuan nodded. “It was delicious.”

“That’s good to hear.” Lin Xiao Feng smiled. “The chocolate was made by a chef from Yu Han’s hotel. I heard that the pastries he made were very good. There’s usually a long queue for Chef Qin Zhan’s desserts and pastries.”

An Nuan recalled that Ren Di had talked about this chef.

Last time, they had to queue because Ren Di wanted to try the desserts that this chef had created.

“Yu Han ordered a few boxes of those chocolates for his wife and daughter,” Lin Xiao Feng continued. “He suggested that I send a box to you as well.”
