A couple days before the fashion show, An Nuan and Ren Di took the flight to Capital City.

When they arrived, Ren Di’s friend had already waited for them at the airport and sent the girls to the hotel.

An Nuan walked around the room before joining Ren Di on the mattress.

“This hotel isn’t that bad,” An Nuan commented. “The view is quite good.”

“Isn’t it?” Ren Di laughed. “I would prefer to stay at The Orchid Hotel in the city center. However, the price during this time is too expensive. It’s better to save money on the hotel budget so that we can buy a few things later.”

“The Orchid Hotel?”

“Uh-huh.” Ren Di nodded. “Last time we went on our honeymoon in T Country, didn’t you take me to The Orchid Hotel? The room was pretty and the service was excellent. I heard that their hotel in Capital City is even better.” It took her a while to notice that the look on An Nuan’s face was a bit strange. “What’s wrong?”

“You didn’t tell me you want to stay in The Orchid Hotel.” An Nuan coughed. “You know that the hotel belonged to Lin Xiao Feng’s friend. She knew that Lin Xiao Feng and the hotel owner were friends. Ren Di had seen Zhang Yu Han on the day An Nuan got married. However, she was unaware that An Nuan had such perks.”

“Ren Di, you told me that you have arranged everything from plane tickets to accommodations.” An Nuan looked at her friend innocently. “Didn’t you say that this place is closer to the venue?”

“Yes. But that was The Orchid Hotel.” Ren DI could not hide her frustration. “A lot of famous and influential people stay at the hotel. We might have the chance to run into a celebrity.”

An Nuan could only laugh.

“Just how much discount they’re offering to you?” Ren Di asked.

“Mmm… It’s a card for friends and family.” An Nuan tried to remember what Zhang Yu Han had said when he gave her the card. “I think it’s around seventy percent? Maybe more?”

Ren Di looked as if she had a heart attack. “Nuan Nuan, do you think it’s too late to change hotels now?”

An Nuan laughed. “It’s up to you.”

Ren Di considered the idea. In the end, she let out a long, heavy sigh. “Forget it. I already paid for our room for five days. Moreover, this place is closer to the venue.”

An Nuan smiled. “It’s alright. We can still stop by the hotel and try their famous pastry.”

Ren Di’s eyes perked up at the mention of the pastries. “Nuan Nuan, that card you mentioned earlier… Can we use it to get some discount when buying their pastries?”

“I’m not sure. I’ll have to ask later.”

The girls were discussing their activity in Capital City when An Nuan’s phone rang unexpectedly. An Nuan halted briefly upon seeing Lin Xiao Feng’s name on the screen before picking up the phone call.

“An Nuan.” Lin Xiao Feng’s voice was heard on the other line the moment An Nuan pressed the phone to her ear. “Have you arrived at the hotel?”

“Mhm…” An Nuan nodded. She stood up from the bed and walked over to the balcony to look at the scenery. “A while ago.”

Earlier, An Nuan had texted Lin Xiao Feng to tell him that she had arrived at the airport. When he replied to her with a short sentence, An Nuan guessed that Lin Xiao Feng should be busy with his work.

She did not expect that he would call her now.

But hearing his voice made An Nuan frown. She could tell that Lin Xiao Feng’s voice sounded different. After all, she has been listening to Lin Xiao Feng’s voice almost every night ever since they both agreed to talk to each other every night.

“Lin Xiao Feng, are you alright?”

Lin Xiao Feng was surprised to hear An Nuan’s question.

“Your voice sounded a little strange,” An Nuan pointed out.

“It’s nothing.” Lin Xiao Feng coughed. “Just a bit of a sore throat.” A smile appeared on his lips. Lin Xiao Feng was happy to know that An Nuan was concerned about him,

“Remember to eat some medicine if you are not feeling good,” An Nuan reminded him. “Mr. Lin, I heard from your grandfather that you’re an important person to the mayor. You cannot be sick.”

“I know.” Lin Xiao Feng felt as if he could get better by listening to An Nuan’s voice.

He would not mind listening to her nag.

“If you are still unwell, then we can postpone our meal with Ren Di,” An Nuan pointed out.

“The meal with your friend is not until a few days later,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “By then, my throat will be better. What are you planning to do today?”

“Hmm…” An Nuan glanced at Ren Di who was surfing the channel. “Ren Di and I are going out to take a look around the city later. There are a few places she wanted to visit. I’m tagging along.”

“Alright. But An Nuan, you have to be careful,” Lin Xiao Feng reminded her. “Call me if you need anything.”

“I know.”

“That’s right. You mentioned that you and Ren Di are attending a fashion event. Is it C.Celine?”

“Mhm…” An Nuan nodded. She wondered if she had mentioned the brand to Lin Xiao Feng the other day.

“I heard from Yu Han that his wife and younger sister will be attending the event as well,” Lin Xiao Feng said. “Perhaps, you might encounter them at the event.”
