Chapter 101: 101 – Level Up! [1]

The next day…

Raye and Old Man Rey set out to return to the cabin around 9 AM.

Devin, Lycus, and Kyle helped them.

And when they got to the cabin…

“Hello, everyone.”

“We’re almost done, wait a little.”

Lena and Jerusha were there, preparing food for everyone!

“We used your cooking equipment, Mister.”

Jerusha said while cooking.

And with a shrug…

“It’s fine, thanks for cooking for us.”

Old Man Rey simply replied.

‘This is nice. I’m starting to get hungry again.’

Raye thought.

He had just eaten roasted beef not long ago, which Kyle had brought for him…

Anyway, after a few minutes…

Lena and Jerusha finished cooking.

Devin and Lycus then helped them prepare the table.

And with that…

“Let’s eat!”

“Thank you, Lena and Jerusha, for cooking for us!”

-I like this part of the deer meat.

They all ate together!

It was pretty cramped, but they all enjoyed their meals.

‘I went down easily. I’m still not ready for the main story.’

He thought.

Raye felt frustrated with himself.

He had trained every day for five months!

Pyro readily replied with a big, cute smile.

But Zephyrus…

He noticed what was in Raye’s hand.

And he went silent.

“Just so you know, I won’t let you stop me.”

Raye announced.

Zephyrus looked at him.

He saw Raye’s face—dead serious, his hunger to get stronger was evident.

-‘Every defeat really pushes him to be even greedier, huh.’

Zephyrus thought.

Then, lightly shaking his head…

-You have five, right? Take two of them.

He stated.

“Huh?”

Raye was surprised and confused. He thought Zephyrus would stop him because of his condition!

-We healed your broken arm before with the enhancement pills. It’s okay to take them with your condition right now. They’ll help with your recovery if ever.

Zephyrus then explained as if he was reading what was in Raye’s mind!

“Oh, okay.”

Raye replied, nodding his head.

“But why two?”

He asked.

Zephyrus shrugged.

And opening his little beak…

-That’s the best amount for you to take considering your body.

He declared.

Raye was speechless.

He looked at the enhancement pill in his hand…

But then, with a resolute expression…

“Got it.”

He said and took out another pill from his spatial bag.

“I’m going to start now.”

Raye mumbled.

‘It’s time to level up.’

He thought.

And without beating around the bush…

Raye swallowed the two pills immediately!

Seeing him do that…

-Idiot! You’re supposed to take the second one after absorbing the first!

Zephyrus exclaimed with wide eyes!

Raye asked.

But before Zephyrus could even reply…

He felt his whole body suddenly heat up, as if he’d jumped into a raging fire!

Raye shouted in pain.

But fearing the Old Man might hear him and worry…

“GURGH…!!!”

He bit his lips to stifle his cries!

“URGH!!!”

Raye groaned as his whole body turned red, veins bulging all over his face, looking ready to pop.

Sweat poured out of him as blood began streaming from his eyes, nose, mouth, and ears!

-Meep!

Pyro exclaimed, worried to the point of tears.

-Raye, don’t lose consciousness!

Zephyrus instructed with a frown.

(Bruh, biggest challenge for Raye: Don’t pass out.)

-Try to absorb the pills’ essence and calm it down!

Zephyrus added.

Hearing him…

“GURGH…!”

Raye tried his best to follow his instructions.

He closed his eyes as saliva and blood dripped from his mouth.

-Meeeep!

Pyro was panicking.

-Calm down! Don’t distract Raye, let’s guard him!

But Zephyrus snapped him out of it.

-meep…

Pyro calmed down and followed Zephyrus’s lead.

“GRAARGH…!!!”

While Raye continued absorbing the essence of the two enhancement pills.
