Chapter 121: 121 – The Tournament [1]

The next day…

It’s the third day of the monster hunt competition.

That’s right, it’s still ongoing because, in [Set B], the three teams are still fighting!

“Hmm, what should I do?”

Raye asked himself as he sat on his bed.

‘Devin’s next match is still in the afternoon.’

Raye muttered that as he stood up!

After getting up from his bed, Raye immediately fixed it and went out of the cabin.

He started chopping logs to be used as firewood.

‘It feels like it’s been a while since I did this.’

Raye thought to himself.

Then, not long after that…

“Hmm, good morning.”

Old Man Rey came out of the cabin too and greeted him.

“Good morning.”

Raye greeted the Old Man back.

They’ve been together for so long that they’re casual with each other now.

Moving without saying a word…

“Ugh, I’m still sleepy.”

Old Man Rey started preparing breakfast like normal.

“Do you want something?”

He asked Raye.

“Nah, I’m fine with anything.”

Raye responded.

“Mhm, okay.”

Old Man Rey muttered and nodded his head.

Half an hour later, Old Man Rey finished making breakfast.

Zephyrus and Pyro woke up around that time too.

And so, with that…

The four of them ate together!

Raye then continued with his chores after that.

He also accompanied the Old Man to the Northern Forest to check on his traps after such a long time of not being able to because of training.

They caught a deer, a wild boar, and three rabbits!

They brought them back to the cabin.

And there…

“Light me some fire, kid.”

Old Man Rey started preparing lunch with Pyro.

And Raye, on the other hand…

“Hmm, this feels refreshing…”

-Yep, I totally agree.

He took a bath in the nearby river with Zephyrus.

Raye finished all of his chores, and he had already eaten lunch with the Old Man, Pyro, and Zephyrus.

Devin’s fight in the tournament will happen around 3 PM.

So Raye still has roughly four hours before that.

He’s standing in front of the library!

‘Hmm, that spell that Ignis used in our fight… it gave me an idea.’

Raye thought, referring to the spell [Incarnate Inferno]!

“I’m super excited to receive my rewards from the headmaster after this competition.”

He stepped inside the library!

Raye suddenly broke out of his zone and realized that he forgot Devin’s match!

Raye immediately stood up and returned the books he had borrowed.

He kicked off onto the ground and started dashing to where the tournament venue was!

Raye muttered to himself as he ran as fast as he could, blasting concentrated wind off his legs to propel himself forward and go faster!

Raye left small cracks on the ground whenever his feet touched it, kicking off as hard as he could!

The tournament is being held in one of the outdoor training grounds.

And after running nonstop…

Raye reached the specific place not long after—it only took him about three minutes!

‘There’s a lot of people here.’

Raye thought, looking around the resting area where the audience was to find Jerusha and the others.

“That’s where Jerusha and Lena are.”

He asked that.

Then, pointing at one of the arenas…

“There… It’s just about to start. You’re right on time.”

Lycus replied to him.

“Phew, that’s a relief…”

Raye sighed and mumbled.

“Come sit here, it’s going to start!”

Then, Jerusha said that to him, patting the empty space beside her.

“Oh, thanks.”

Raye said.

Pat—

And then he took her offer.

Looking at the two of them sitting side by side…

‘Mwehehehehe…’

Sofia laughed weirdly in her head.

Anyway, a few moments after Raye arrived…

“Fighters, climb up!”

Charles exclaimed that. He’s hosting this event with three more staff members from other academies.
