Chapter 47: 47 – Three Rooms

Currently, I’m inside the old mansion here underground…

I’m just by the doors, sitting in a lotus position.

I’m here so that I can leave immediately if something bad happens.

Pyro is sleeping soundly on my lap.

And as for me…

I’m doing my best to recover my stamina and mana as quickly as possible.

“Fucking hell.”

I mumbled under my breath.

My whole body aches, my wounds sting, and I’m ridiculously sleepy at the moment.

I want to sleep, but I can’t let my guard down here…

‘I’m too thirsty and hungry to actually sleep.’

“Ugh, I feel like dying.”

The window’s content says this mansion is a dungeon.

Though, it also means that there’s a teleportation gate at the end of this mansion that leads back up to the surface.

“There are rewards for me to get here.”

I mumbled, wondering what kind of treasures are hidden in this place.

After all, it’s an undiscovered dungeon and it wasn’t in the game, so I have no idea what’s inside…

Anyway, moving on…

“Let’s go explore this place.”

I said that as I stood up.

I already recovered my stamina.

Pyro voiced out his concern for me.

“Don’t worry, I’m still fine.”

But I just said that to reassure him.

Pyro remained silent, just looking at me.

I could tell he was worried, but I couldn’t just stay here forever.

So, with that…

I ventured deeper into the mansion.

After walking for a while down the hallway of the mansion…

I reached its end.

And there…

I saw three doors leading to different rooms—one on each side and one directly in front of me.

And in game logics…

“Only one of these doors leads to a safe room.”

I mumbled confidently, a weak smirk forming on my face.

Pyro just looked at me weirdly.

Anyway, focusing on the doors…

“Let’s go left.”

I said that and opened the door on my left.

I saw a bunch of monster wolves like the ones I fought earlier, except there were more of them this time.

So, without hesitation…

I closed the door.

“Not that room, huh.”

I said awkwardly, sweating slightly.

Pyro agreed with me.

Then, looking at him…

“Where do you think we should go?”

I asked Pyro.

-Meep?

Pyro chirped, then after thinking for a second…

-Meep!

He looked at the middle door.

“Got it.”

I replied and headed to the center door.

Quietly…

Creak—

I opened it.

“…”

And after taking a good look at what was inside…

Thud—

I immediately shut the door again.

‘Nuh uh.’

I thought.

Inside the middle room were Kobolds!

And they’re classified as D- rank monsters!

“Hmm, maybe not there either.”

I said, forcing a smile at Pyro.

-Meep!

Pyro immediately agreed, mimicking my smile.

I walked toward the last door, the one on the right.

And as I stared at it…

‘This should be the safe one… right?’

I wondered, doubt creeping into my mind.

I was starting to feel scared of what might be waiting inside.

But nevertheless, swallowing my fear…

“Here I go.”

Creak—

I opened the door.

And what greeted me…

“Fuck.”

Made me curse unconsciously.

Thud—

I shut the door much faster than the previous ones.

And there, I stood still for a while…

“…”

Speechless.

-…

And so was Pyro.

Inside the room just…

There was a fucking giant boar monster, sleeping on the floor!

“Is that a boss monster?”

I asked in shock.

But I immediately shook my head and trashed the idea, I’m still at the early stage of the dungeon, after all.

So, most probably…

That was a mini-boss.

“And I need to defeat that thing to move on to the next stage…”

I muttered, an annoyed frown on my face.

Still standing at the end of the mansion’s hallway…

“…”

I looked at the doors again.

‘Left, monster wolves.’

‘Middle, Kobolds.’

‘And lastly… right, the mini-boss.’

I took a mental note of what was behind each door.

And after that…

“Fuck me.”

I cursed out loud, massaging the temple of my head in annoyance.

There was no door leading to safety, the rooms just got progressively harder as you moved from left to right.

And obviously, to advance to the next stage, I needed to clear the mini-boss room.

“Fuck that too.”

All I could do lately was curse my luck.

There was no way I could defeat that giant boar.

A huge fire appeared from my hands and engulfed them.

And pulling my right hand back like I was drawing a bowstring…

The fire transformed, taking the shape of a bow and arrow!

And since maintaining this spell continuously consumed my mana…

I didn’t waste ant second and kicked the door in front of me open!

The monster wolves turned to me, startled by my sudden entrance.

Then the fire arrow flew…

And struck five monster wolves!

Two of them died instantly on impact…

The other three didn’t, but they caught fire, one of them died because of it a little later.

Anyway…

I pulled the string of the fire bow again.

And as soon as I did…

It was reloaded with another fire arrow!

It drained a huge amount of my mana.

And just then…

-GRAAAHHHH!!!

-AWOOOOUH!!!

Ten monster wolves charged at me!

I quickly aimed at them.

And without hesitation…

I fired the arrow!

Boom—!

The arrow killed four of them instantly.

Three more caught fire and died shortly after.

But the remaining three…

-GRAAAHHHH!!!

-GAARGH!!!

They reached me unharmed and leaped toward me!

I didn’t have time to reload another arrow.

So I canceled the spell.

And quickly drew a dagger with my right hand!

“Gugh…!”

I immediately squatted down.

Dodging their attack successfully.

And while I was beneath one of them…

I swung my dagger upward, slicing open a monster wolf’s stomach!

It fell lifelessly to the ground.

The other two safely landed on their paws.

But I quickly shot them with my left hand!

The bullets struck the backs of their heads, killing them instantly.

And with that…

‘I killed thirteen monster wolves in less than a minute.’
