Chapter 141: Chapter 141: What Did He Evolve Into?
It had been three minutes since Damian began his evolution, and no one knew what was happening inside the cocoon, a strange structure made of reddish-white energy that radiated vitality.
The energy was so potent that everyone in the faction could feel it in the air with every breath they took.
Damian was in a state of disorientation, or perhaps a catatonic state.
He was clearly conscious, yet he couldn’t feel anything beyond his mind.
Though he was aware of what was happening to his physical body, he instinctively knew that something profound was occurring within his spirit.
Somehow, he understood that this evolution concerned his spiritual side more than his physical form.
“This is amazing… this evolution… Humans start as ordinary beings, then they evolve into Superior Humans. Above them are the High Humans,” Sir Holloway muttered.
“What does a High Human evolve into?”
“Wait, do you still consider him a High Human? He’s also a fallen angel, a high incubus, and who knows what else,” Elfie said, clearly struggling to comprehend what was happening to her dear faction leader.
“Yes, that’s right. I don’t know which part of him is evolving right now. If I remember correctly, he used the Brenlith clan’s bloodline ability and the demonic ability he obtained at the same time.”
“He was clearly a High Human, which means he can use any racial abilities of any race he embodies.”
“Regardless of the race he takes on, I don’t think his races are mixed together. I believe it’s more like he can switch his race at will.”
“If we go by that logic, then before this cocoon of evolution enveloped him, he was a High Human, so it’s likely that his High Human side is the one evolving,” Sir Holloway explained, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
“Or I could be wrong… The more I think about it, the more confusing it becomes. This goes against everything I’ve learned, everything I’ve experienced. I’ve never even heard of anything like this being possible, or even theorized,” Sir Holloway sighed, rubbing his forehead.
But the veins bulging on his temple and the pain throbbing inside his head didn’t seem to fade.
Even his plebeian vampiric brain could only process so much information at once.
Sir Holloway looked at the group of very beautiful women: Maria Lucia Augustine and her seven adopted sisters, who still had a strange expression on their faces.
It seemed they were not yet completely free from the effects of Damian’s insane charm level.
“You guys… I remember you saying that you would only join this faction after the war between Damian and the vampire factions ended. Have you decided yet?” he asked.
“W-Why… why are you asking?” Maria replied, not taking her eyes off the cocoon.
“Well, with the way things are going, and how unbelievably strong he’s been growing, it wouldn’t be surprising if your presence in his faction might eventually become insignificant to him.”
“I mean, he can easily attract other powerful women just by showcasing his power,” Sir Holloway said, shrugging his shoulders.
“I… We…” Maria looked back and forth between her adopted sisters.
Now that she was thinking about it, he was right.
Damian no longer needed them.
All he had ever wanted from them was their [Holy Essence], and now he had it, and even more.
Yes, he had granted them a favor in return, but even if he agreed to let them join his faction, would he really value them?
That was questionable.
“Strike while the iron is hot. Join his faction while he still has his eye on you, Maria,” Sir Holloway advised.
When he said that, not just Maria and her sisters, but also Elfie and her brother turned their gazes to Sir Lucian Holloway.

“What do you mean by that?” Maria asked, narrowing her eyes as if she truly didn’t understand what he was implying.
“Come on. Don’t tell me you don’t know why he asked you to join his faction? He wants you because he’s clearly interested in you, just like he openly said he’s interested in the elf here,” Sir Holloway said, pointing to the common elf, Elfie, who simply turned her face away as if the conversation had nothing to do with her.
“That’s ridiculous… he wouldn’t…” Maria shook her head. In her heart, she knew he was right, but she couldn’t admit it out loud.
“Well, I said what I said. It’s your own problem if you agree or not,” Sir Holloway shrugged.
And that was it.
The conversation didn’t continue.
Only a long and heavy awkward silence remained, broken only by a faint whistling sound coming from the reddish-white cocoon in the throne hall.
Seconds passed.
Then minutes.
The whistling sound from inside the cocoon grew stronger and stronger.
Everyone noticed as small cracks started appearing at the center of the cocoon, rapidly spreading throughout the reddish-white, egg-like structure.
Blinding white light shot out from the cracks in all directions, accompanied by waves of energy filled with vitality.
Inside the cocoon, Damian finally began to feel his sensations returning.
His entire existence slowly reconnected with him.
Along with that, a series of system notifications appeared before his eyes.

The cocoon exploded, releasing waves of energy in all directions, revealing a single figure seated just as he had been before.
Every faction member’s eyes widened, not because of what they were seeing, but because of what they were feeling.
Damian’s appearance hadn’t changed.
He looked the same as before he entered the state of evolution.
But everything else, his presence, his aura, the sheer feeling he emitted, had changed completely.
It was exponentially more powerful.
“What is this feeling?”
Shiru and the eight sisters were the first to feel it.
The sensation was overwhelming and oppressive.
It made them feel as though they should submit to him, no matter what.
“What has he evolved into?”
Sir Holloway couldn’t help but ask aloud.
Damian ignored them.
His focus was entirely on the foreign memories flooding into his mind from an unknown source, and the system notifications still appearing in his vision.
As he read the abilities he had obtained, his eyes widened slightly.
“I’m a Progenitor?” Damian muttered, still trying to process what he was seeing.
Yet deep down, he knew it was true.
Every bit of information now embedded in his mind confirmed it.
A grin spread across his face.
In an instant, his figure vanished and reappeared right in front of Shiru.
She jumped back at the sudden appearance of his towering figure, as if he had manifested like a ghost, but froze when she met his gaze.
His eyes seemed to hypnotize her, holding her completely still.
“Shiru, you helped me when I first came to Solarta,” Damian said softly.
“This is my gift for that.”
A reddish substance formed at the tip of his finger and shot into her mouth.
The moment it did, a series of system notifications appeared in front of her.
[You have received the racial essence of a High Human from the Human Progenitor.]
[As a result, your body has entered a state of evolution.]
Before she could even process what was happening, or finish reading the notifications, her vision blurred, and a white cocoon enveloped her from head to toe like an egg.
“What did you do? Don’t tell me… she is…?” Sir Holloway asked, his eyes widening as he saw the same cocoon enveloping Shiru’s figure in white energy.
“Yes… she’s turning into a High Human, a pure-blooded one, at that,” Damian grinned, watching not just Holloway’s face, but everyone’s expressions shift from shocked to unbelievably shocked.
“How… how is this possible? How can this happen? How could you do that? No High Human should be capable of doing that unless…” Sir Holloway’s eyes widened further as the realization dawned on him.
He finally understood what Damian had evolved into…
