Chapter 145: Chapter 145: The Father Of All
While Damian was in the world of Thearris, speaking with a literal world tree, something else was happening inside the first tower realm, within the territory of the Circle of Ouroboros faction.

It had only been about ten or so minutes since Damian left, and Shiru was still inside the white cloud cocoon, evolving into a High Human.

Damian didn’t stay to see what would happen because, as the Human Progenitor, he instinctively knew the evolution would be completely successful.

There was no need for him to wait for its completion, even though it wouldn’t take much time.

When a Progenitor transforms a being of their own race into a higher species, or a being of another race into their own, this process is called a Race Change Ritual.

The ritual differs from Progenitor to Progenitor.

In the case of the Human Progenitor, Damian Ignatius, his Race Change Ritual involves two steps.

The first step is Damian giving his racial essence, in the form of a drop of blood, to the being about to evolve.

The second step, or rather requirement, is that the recipient must possess the will and wholehearted acceptance to submit to the Human Progenitor.

Once these steps are completed, the racial essence begins its work by entering the recipient’s bloodstream.

It starts to transform their blood into that of a High Human.

When every drop of their blood has been transformed, the racial essence, which also contains highly concentrated vitality energy, merges with the being’s own energy.

At that point, all of their internal energy leaves their body and transforms into a cloudy white substance, which then envelops them in a cocoon of evolution.

After that, both the Cocoon of Evolution and the racial essence running through the bloodstream will transform the being into a High Human.

The Cocoon of Evolution will transform the being from the outside in, while the racial essence coursing through the bloodstream will transform the being from the inside out.

This process will take only a few seconds to a minute at most.

Once the being is completely encased within the Cocoon of Evolution, they will enter a state of evolution where they become completely detached from reality.

They will feel nothing; it will be like entering a deep sleep.

They cannot be awakened until the state of evolution is broken, which will only happen once the process is complete.

During this time, they won’t even be able to dream.

“How long will it take for her to complete the evolution?” Elfie asked as she curiously observed the Cocoon of Evolution.

She couldn’t help but compare it to the Cocoon of Evolution Damian was in before he evolved into a Human Progenitor.

His Cocoon of Evolution was at least four times stronger, and it wasn’t just white.

It was a reddish-white and continuously released some sort of vitality-rich energy in the form of a foggy substance.

Even just breathing it in made one feel refreshed and rejuvenated.

But the Cocoon of Evolution Shiru was in was just plain white and didn’t release any energy into the atmosphere.

It simply sat there, like a giant seven-foot-tall egg.

Well, comparing the Cocoon of Evolution of a Human Progenitor to that of a High Human isn’t exactly fair.

And even if we compare it to the Cocoon Damian was in when he evolved into a High Human, the difference is still vast.

Even then, his cocoon was much larger and wasn’t just plain white.

It had a bluish-white hue and released vitality-rich energy, though not nearly as much as his Progenitor Cocoon.

There was also another abnormality between Damian’s evolution into a High Human and Shiru’s.

Shiru right now doesn’t have any consciousness; she’s completely blacked out.

But when Damian was evolving, he retained his consciousness the entire time.

Even though he couldn’t feel what was happening to him, he was still able to think.

His thought process wasn’t restricted at all.

The reason why beings under the state of evolution become completely blacked out is because, during the process of evolution, it is not just their physical body that transforms.

Their entire existence, including their soul, spirituality, and body, undergoes transformation.

To prevent their minds from collapsing under the intense pressure of evolution, the process automatically puts the mind into a kind of sleep mode.

Well, it’s more than just sleep.

When you’re asleep, parts of the brain still function, handling dreams and other subconscious activities, but under the state of evolution, everything is temporarily shut down.

Sir Holloway was walking around the Cocoon of Evolution, curiously thinking while scribbling something in his notebook.

He replied, “I’m not sure, but I think it differs from person to person…”

He paused for a few seconds before continuing. “I think the longer a person stays in the state of evolution, the greater the potential they will have when they complete it.”

“Wait, their potential increases?” Elfie asked, unable to believe it.

“Yes, of course. That’s the beauty of evolution. It doesn’t just increase potential. Evolution is more than that. Think of it as a mutation, but a positive kind of mutation.”

“Your talents, abilities, everything you possess within your body reacts with the racial essence of a progenitor, mutating into stronger, more powerful versions,” Sir Holloway explained.

“There are even possibilities of awakening entirely new talents, abilities, or constitutions that never existed in the individual prior to evolving.”

“That’s ridiculous… no wonder everybody wants to evolve,” Elfie muttered, rubbing her forehead.

“Yes,” Sir Holloway smiled, watching the expression on her face. “If that surprises you, wait until I tell you this.”

“What?” Elfie asked, confused.

“Shiru is currently evolving using the racial essence of the human progenitor, and his evolution is being greatly influenced by the progenitors themselves,” Sir Holloway explained.

All progenitors, regardless of the potential they had prior to becoming progenitors, possess the potential to reach the power level of a God-King.

The beings they transform using their racial essence, imbued with the progenitor’s own influence, also experience an increase in potential that comes alongside the racial transformation.

This is normally the case for all progenitors.

However, there are instances where a progenitor may naturally possess substantial potential.

When combined with the potential granted by their status as a progenitor, their total potential can surpass the threshold of a typical God-King.

If such a high-potential progenitor transforms a being, that being not only gains the potential boost associated with the race change but also receives additional enhancements due to the unique influence of the progenitor embedded within the racial essence.

Now consider Damian’s potential.

Even before he evolved into a Progenitor, his potential was already greater than beings of the higher plane.

In fact, his true potential is still unknown.

It could keep growing higher and higher.

On top of that, he holds the combined potential of being a High Fallen Angel, High Incubus, High Demon, and Noble Vampire.

Each of these races, through sheer effort alone, can eventually reach the power level of a lower-tier god.

And now Damian has evolved into a Human Progenitor.

Just the potential of being a Progenitor grants him the ability to ascend to the level of a God King.

Now imagine combining all of his racial potentials together, and we still don’t even know what the final two hidden races he belongs to are, the ones he can’t yet access.

Just how much potential do those races give him?

No one knows.

Not even Damian himself.

He tried to find out, but the World Tree, Thea, was hellbent on keeping that knowledge from him.

Now consider this: a Progenitor like him transforming a normal human into a High Human.

Just how much potential would that transformed being gain?

How much would their talents be magnified?

What kind of abilities could they awaken?

A Progenitor is like the father of an entire race.

Damian, as the Human Progenitor, has essentially become the father of the human race, at least those who have his racial essence within them.

Right now, only Shiru, who is evolving using his racial essence, has essentially become his daughter.

If you were to analyze her blood, flesh, bones, anything, you would find traces of Damian’s essence in her, similar to how a daughter carries her father’s genetic material.

If Damian were to share his racial essence with all humans, the entire human race would become his sons and daughters.

And from there, their children, and the children of their children, generation after generation, would all carry the Progenitor’s essence.

It wouldn’t matter if it’s the 100th generation or the 1000th, they would always carry his mark.

And the more the race grows, the stronger their Progenitor, Damian, would become.

That’s the power of a Progenitor.

It’s not just the race that gains providence and prosperity, the Progenitor himself grows stronger with the flourishing of his race.

“Are Progenitors really that powerful?” Elfie’s brother, Arlen, asked upon hearing Sir Holloway’s explanation.

“Yes, kid. And let me tell you something,” Sir Holloway smiled slightly.

“The human race is one of the weakest races out there. They even rank below the Elves. So if Progenitors follow the same racial hierarchy, then the Human Progenitor should also rank below the Elven Progenitor. And if the human one is already this powerful, just imagine how powerful your Progenitor could get.”

Elfie went silent for a few seconds before replying.

“Well, there’s no Elven Progenitor in existence. So there’s no point thinking about it.”

“Well, let’s see how long that STAYS true,” Sir Holloway thought to himself, but he didn’t say it out loud.

A few theories were forming in his mind, ones he was almost too afraid to even consider becoming true.
