Chapter 147: Chapter 147: The New Generation of High Humans – 2
The cracks in the cocoon of evolution rapidly spread throughout its egg-like structure.
Inside, Shiru slowly began to regain consciousness.
A series of notifications appeared in her mind, visible only to her.
Even though there was nothing but darkness, she could clearly see the system alerts.
Yet, she couldn’t comprehend them, as her mind was still foggy and unclear.
But somehow, one thing stood out with perfect clarity: a face.
A face her hazy thoughts could grasp without effort. It was the face of her progenitor, the father of her entire race.
His face, his presence, his aura, everything about him became instinctively engraved into her heart and soul.
His racial essence sent out one final wave as the state of evolution neared its end.
Shiru’s body had already evolved into that of a pure-blooded High Human.
Now, her mind was undergoing its transformation.
Instinctively, she began to understand knowledge passed down through her blood, knowledge of her father, the progenitor of all humans.
She understood why he should be revered like a god, and how truly great and awe-inspiring he was, as her very soul and spirit were completely reborn.
The couple of high humans, Noah Ravenfang and his wife Cara Ravenfang, watched with shocked and excited expressions as they awaited the awakening of the first ever High Human created by the Human Progenitor to arise.
Not far from them, another group of ordinary humans was watching the Cocoon of Evolution with curious expressions, so focused they barely acknowledged the literal High Humans standing nearby.
This group of humans included some of the strongest from Earth.
Among them were Maria and her seven sisters, along with Eric Walcrown, the same man who had first witnessed Damian, the First Awakener, leveling up while fighting wolf-like monsters.
Since then, he had become a imaginary disciple of the monstrous being he once admired from afar.
Another powerful Awakener present was Pietro Grimaldi.
Before Damian’s regression, Pietro had been known as the strongest Awakener to ever rise from Italy.
Alongside them were even more Awakeners from various countries.
Though initially interested in Damian, their curiosity had turned into fear and awe after watching his battle against the Vampire Faction.
They all silently agreed they should never cross paths with that man.
Yet, when a familiar face appeared, the Saintess of the Vatican, saying that her faction leader wished to speak with them about something important and potentially beneficial, their resolve weakened.
The promise of benefits was enough to tempt them.
But more than that, they feared that refusing could be taken as an offense, even if Damian himself probably wouldn’t remember them enough to hold a grudge.
Still, none were willing to take that chance.
Just before Damian left for Thaerris, Maria and her seven sisters had respectfully asked him if they could join his faction.
Since Damian had told them he owed them, he allowed them to join.
He then asked Maria if she was willing to find more humans from their world.

He had made a decision about his next move after returning from Thaerris, and for what he planned, he needed people.
Doing it alone would waste his precious time, so he wanted reliable humans from his own world to help with errands.
He assumed Maria, being responsible and a nun no less, would be able to gather some obedient errand boys for him.
It didn’t take Maria more than a couple of minutes to convince people to follow her into the territory of a monster.
All she had to do was mention Damian’s name, and they would cower like babies, terrified even at the thought of him.
Once they arrived, they found everyone’s attention focused on the massive egg, the Cocoon of Evolution.
The cocoon began to crack…
The fractures deepened until, in an instant, the Cocoon of Evolution exploded into millions of pieces.
The fragments turned into specks of energy and vanished into nothing, revealing a figure covered in white mist.
Noah and Cara’s eyes widened in surprise and excitement.
They could sense it, the same overwhelming feeling Damian gave off when he evolved into a High Human.
While her presence wasn’t nearly as powerful as Damian’s, because, let’s be real, Damian was in a league of his own, they still felt it.
Despite all being High Humans, Shiru’s presence emitted a faint racial suppression.
She was a pure-blooded High Human, ranked even higher than Noah and Cara.
Her racial abilities were more advanced, not just because she had evolved into a High Human, but due to Damian’s influence, Damian, the most powerful, talented, and potential-filled being the universe had ever seen.
Of course, any being evolved using his racial essence would be far from ordinary.
Even among pure-blooded High Humans, she would stand at the top, stronger, more talented, and even blessed by the divine concepts Damian himself had received from the gods.
These blessings were infused into her evolution.
Shiru’s appearance gradually became visible, and at that exact moment, a monstrously powerful presence erupted in the throne hall.
A figure manifested at the center, golden lightning crackling around him.
As soon as he appeared, even those who had been entirely focused on Shiru’s evolution turned their gazes toward the man, the most beautiful and powerful person any of them had ever seen.
“Hmm… the first ever High Human created by my essence as the Progenitor of Humans,” Damian muttered, looking at his creation.
Shiru had not yet fully recovered her mind.
Her consciousness was still absorbed in the flood of notifications appearing before her eyes.

[You have become a [Dark Essence Cultivator].]
[You have obtained the racial class: Human Lord.]
Damian, who was watching her with his [Eyes of Heaven and Earth], smiled as he read everything happening within her like a book.
“Dark Essence, huh? Interesting.”
Maria and Elfie, who possessed the polar opposite energy, [Holy Essence], could feel their counterpart awakening inside Shiru.
If Maria and Elfie were Holy Essence Cultivators, then Shiru had now become a Dark Essence Cultivator, with identical abilities but of an opposing nature to the [Holy Essence Cultivator].
[Holy Essence] and [Dark Essence] share the same abilities and effects.
The only thing that sets them apart is their origin, each from opposing sides of the universe.
The Holy Essence represents positivity, while the Dark Essence embodies negativity.
They are polar opposites, interconnected yet fundamentally at odds.
They cannot exist without each other, yet they cannot tolerate each other’s presence.
This is why Fallen Angels, who possess Dark Essence, and Holy Angels, who possess Holy Essence, are natural enemies.
One dwells in Hell, while the other resides in Heaven.
Shiru opened her eyes, revealing her bright brown irises.
She was beautiful, very beautiful.
She would have been considered the most beautiful person in the throne hall, but Damian was there, and of course, no one could take that title away from him.
In fact, in front of Damian, even Shiru, who had become many times more beautiful, seemed ordinary.
But still, she was more beautiful than anyone else, even more than Maria and Elfie.
Her hair was dense, curly, and bronze.
Her skin had become flawlessly white, without a single blemish or imperfection.
She had grown a few inches taller, now standing at six feet and five inches.
Her presence, her aura, everything had transformed.
The former weak, timid, always-scared Shiru had disappeared, and in her place stood a new, strong, bold, and stunning woman, the kind that Damian liked.
“My lord,” Shiru said as she kneeled.
She didn’t care about anyone else.
She didn’t care who was watching or what they might think.
The only thought running through her mind was greeting her king, the father of the entire human race, the progenitor of humans, Damian Ignatius, her one true master.
