Chapter 102: I Miss You
When Ahcehera awakened, she was already inside a spacecraft back to Agartha. She went out of her room and walked the empty hallways.
Where is Richard? She thought silently.
She roamed around the vicinity, but she saw no one. Was this spacecraft driven on autopilot?
She hurriedly went to the control center. There was no one. It’s impossible for him to send me back alone! Where could he be?
All of a sudden, someone hugged her from behind.
This time, she felt a stronger werewolf scent unique to Richard, the smell of chocolates and strawberries, like a perfume sprayed on his body, but it was not, this was a scent only mates could smell and carry.
But it was a wonder why she couldn’t sense the dark energy in him. He was a dark energy user, and it should have been normal to feel it, but she felt nothing from him.
Ahcehera could not remember what happened after the fight near the lake. It felt as if she was missing a memory or had fallen into a deep slumber.
When I met him, strange things had been happening.
She asked, “Where have you been?”
Richard stayed silent.
Ahcehera asked again, “Was your mission done?”
Richard still didn’t answer.
Ahcehera was worried. “What’s wrong?”
“I miss you…” he answered.
Ahcehera felt dumbfounded. “What?”
“I miss you so much.”
She couldn’t see Richard’s expression at all, but her heart suddenly raced.
His arms tightened around her waist, and his head rested against her shoulder, as if he feared she would disappear the moment he let go.
The warmth of his body seeped through her clothes, steady and unrelenting, yet his heartbeat felt unsteady, wild, desperate.
Ahcehera placed her hands over his arms, unsure of what to say.
Richard had always been distant, always carrying his burdens in silence. But this time, his words were filled with something deeper, something raw.
She turned her head slightly, trying to see his face. “Richard…”
He buried his face against her neck, inhaling deeply, as if committing her scent to memory. “I thought I’d lost you,” he whispered, his voice hoarse, barely audible.
Ahcehera stiffened. “What do you mean?”
He hesitated. “I mean… I thought I wouldn’t see you again.”
There was a weight in his words, something unspoken, something he was hiding. Ahcehera felt it in the way his arms clung to her, in the way his breath hitched ever so slightly.
She gently pulled away and turned to face him. Richard’s violet eyes locked onto hers, their depths filled with emotions she couldn’t quite decipher, relief, sadness, longing.

His silver-white hair was slightly disheveled, and there was a faint shadow under his eyes, as if he hadn’t slept in days.
“It did…”
Ahcehera reached up, brushing her fingers against his cheek. “Richard, what happened?”
For a moment, he simply looked at her, as if debating whether to tell her the truth. But then he closed his eyes and leaned into her touch, his expression softening.
“I don’t know,” he admitted. “There are… gaps in my memory. I remember fighting, and then… nothing. Just darkness. And then I woke up, and you were beside me.”
Ahcehera frowned. “You don’t remember what happened after the fight?”
He shook his head. “No. But I know one thing.”
“What?”
His fingers brushed against her wrist, a touch so light yet so possessive. “I need you.”
Ahcehera’s breath caught in her throat. Richard had never said anything like this before. He was always reserved, always keeping his distance. But now, his walls were crumbling.
“Richard…” she murmured.
“I need you to believe in me,” he continued, his voice thick with emotion. “No matter what happens, no matter what I become… promise me.”
Ahcehera’s heart clenched. “Why are you saying this?”
He exhaled slowly, looking away. “Because something isn’t right. And I feel like… I don’t have much time.”
Ahcehera grabbed his hands. “Don’t say that.”
Richard’s eyes flickered with something unreadable. “I wish I could promise you forever,” he whispered. “But right now, I don’t even know if I have tomorrow.”
A cold fear settled in Ahcehera’s chest. He was serious. There was something he wasn’t telling her, something she needed to know.
“Then tell me the truth,” she demanded.
Richard’s grip tightened around her hands. “I will,” he promised. “But not yet.”
Ahcehera wanted to argue and demand answers, but the look in his eyes silenced her. He wasn’t ready. And maybe… she wasn’t either.
Instead, she leaned forward and wrapped her arms around him. “I’m here,” she whispered. “No matter what happens.”
Richard sighed, his body relaxing slightly against hers. “I know.”
And for the first time in a long time, he allowed himself to hold onto her, as if she were the only thing keeping him from falling apart.
Ahcehera suddenly realized one thing. She whispered, “Zeke, is it you?”
Richard paused, and for the first time in a long while, a familiar, almost nostalgic smile appeared on his face. “I miss you, Ahce.”
Ahcehera’s breath hitched. The voice, the way he said her name, it wasn’t just Richard. It was Riezekiel.
Her mind went blank. She stood frozen in place, her heart hammering against her chest as if it wanted to escape. How? Why now?
The soul of Riezekiel had finally fused with Richard’s.
It should have been impossible. Riezekiel was dead, gone, lost to the tragedy of the Night Owls Squad. Yet, here he was, speaking through Richard, his presence unmistakable.
Richard, or was it Riezekiel, tilted his head, watching her reaction.
His expression was unreadable, but his eyes held a glint of something familiar, something only Riezekiel had ever looked at her with.
Affection. Deep, unshakable affection.
Ahcehera’s lips trembled. “Zeke… how is this possible?”
Richard exhaled, running a hand through his silver-white hair.
“I don’t know,” he admitted. “I don’t understand everything yet. My memories… they’re still a mess. But the moment I saw you, Ahce, I knew, I knew I had to come back.”
Ahcehera swallowed hard. She wanted to be happy, she wanted to believe this was truly him. But there was one thought in her mind that she couldn’t ignore.
Riezekiel knew Ahcehera like the back of his hand. What if he finds out that I am not the original Ahcehera, that my soul has only occupied her body?
Panic started to creep into her chest.
If Riezekiel had truly returned, then it was only a matter of time before he realized the truth.
He would see through the way she hesitated, the way she reacted, the way she wasn’t quite the Ahcehera he knew and loved.
Would he hate her for it?
Would he reject her?
Or worse… would he try to bring back the real Ahcehera by getting rid of her?
Ahcehera clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms. She had to act normal. She had to keep this a secret, at least until she figured out what Riezekiel’s return truly meant.
So, forcing a smile, she whispered, “I miss you too, Zeke.”
