Chapter 128: The Council of Nine Kings
King Dan left Sirius in a hurry when a prophecy appeared in Riverenda.
He was worried sick about Ahcehera and Richard, who had not yet returned from Agartha and could not be contacted.
King Dan arrived in Riverenda aboard his personal battleship, the Astralis, its sleek, silver frame cutting through the vast oceanic sky of the A-ranked planet.
The moment he stepped out of the docking bay, the weight of unease settled heavily on his shoulders.
The air felt thick, charged with an unnatural energy, as if the planet itself was holding its breath.
The deep, endless waters of Riverenda, usually shimmering with hues of turquoise and gold, looked darker than usual, their depths reflecting the ominous turn of fate.
Waiting at the entrance of the Celestial Hall was Princess Nirvanxia, her usually serene expression now marked with deep worry.
She was dressed in ceremonial robes of flowing white and sapphire, the sigil of the Water Kingdom embroidered in threads of liquid gold.
Behind her stood the council members, a collection of the most powerful figures in Riverenda, royal strategists, archmages, and the High Oracle.
“King Dan,” Nirvanxia greeted, her voice laced with urgency. “You came swiftly.”
“I had no choice,” Dan replied, his stormy gaze fixed on her. “A prophecy from Riverenda is no small matter, and I cannot reach my children in Agartha.”
The mention of Ahcehera and Richard made Nirvanxia’s lips tighten. “We will discuss everything inside. Time is slipping away from us.”
They entered the Celestial Hall, a grand circular chamber constructed from enchanted coral and luminous pearls.
A massive crystalline sphere hovered in the center of the room, glowing faintly with celestial energy, a sacred artifact said to hold the wisdom of the planet’s ancestors.
The moment Dan stepped inside, he could feel the presence of something greater, an undeniable force guiding fate itself.
The council members took their places, their faces grave.
The High Oracle, an ancient merwoman with gossamer fins and deep, abyssal eyes, raised her trident and struck the marble floor.
A low, resonant hum filled the chamber, signaling the beginning of the council meeting.
“The prophecy of the Seven Demon Gods has been revealed,” the High Oracle began, her voice echoing across the chamber like waves crashing against the shore.
“Princess Nirvanxia has witnessed the downfall of the nine royal clans, the destruction of Andromeda, and the rise of an entity beyond our comprehension.”
Dan’s jaw clenched. “Tell me everything.”
Nirvanxia stepped forward, taking a deep breath before recounting the vision she had seen in the Celestial Spring.
She spoke of the blood-red sky, of the colossal entities that emerged from the abyss, and of the great royal clans, Celestara, Onyxia, Veridion, and Sirius, falling one by one.
She told them of Khaterine, clad in darkness, and Zephyrion, who loomed behind her like the executioner of fate itself.
And, finally, she described Richmond’s desperate final stand, his futile attempt to reach Khaterine before she plunged her sword into his chest.
By the time she finished, the room was silent. Even the most seasoned warriors and strategists looked shaken.
Dan took a deep breath, his hands clenched into fists. “We need to act. We cannot let this prophecy unfold as foretold.”
The High Oracle regarded him with solemn eyes.
“Prophecies are not easily undone, King Dan. They are the will of the cosmos, whispered into existence by forces beyond even the gods.”
“Then I will defy the cosmos itself,” Dan declared, his voice unwavering. “If Andromeda is fated to fall, then we will forge a new fate with our own hands.”

Murmurs rippled through the council.
Some agreed with him, and their fighting spirit ignited, while others remained hesitant, bound by the weight of tradition and the fear of provoking forces beyond their control.
An elderly council member, the Grand Strategist of Riverenda, spoke up.
“If the Seven Demon Gods truly rise, then conventional warfare will not be enough. We must seek alliances beyond our own borders. The Kingdom of Sirius alone cannot face this threat.”
Dan nodded. “Then we will call upon the great clans. I will personally reach out to Celestara, Onyxia, and Veridion. But we need more than just allies, we need a way to fight back.”
Nirvanxia hesitated before speaking. “There is… one possibility.”
All eyes turned to her. The princess looked uncertain, as if debating whether to reveal what she knew. Finally, she stepped forward, her voice measured yet heavy with meaning.
“There is an ancient legend among my people. It speaks of a lost artifact, one that predates even the formation of the royal clans. It is said to be a weapon forged from the remnants of a fallen star, imbued with the power to counterbalance darkness itself.”
Dan frowned. “Where is this artifact?”
“It is hidden within the Abyssal Trench, the deepest, most forbidden part of Riverenda’s oceans,” Nirvanxia admitted. “No one has ventured there and returned alive.”
A deep silence followed her words.
Dan, however, did not waver. “Then I will go myself.”
The council members immediately protested. “Your Majesty, that is too dangerous!”
“A king cannot risk his life so carelessly!”
But Dan raised a hand, silencing them. “If the prophecy is true, then our days are numbered. If there is even the slightest chance that this weapon can turn the tide, I will take it.”
Nirvanxia regarded him with quiet respect. “Then I will accompany you. This is my planet, my people, and my burden as much as it is yours.”
The High Oracle finally spoke, her tone laced with an eerie finality. “If you embark on this path, there is no turning back. The abyss does not let go of those who enter it lightly.”
Dan’s gaze hardened. “Then we will just have to make sure it has no choice.”
The meeting adjourned with a final decision, King Dan and Princess Nirvanxia would journey to the Abyssal Trench to uncover the lost artifact, while the rest of the royal clans would be contacted for an emergency summit.
Messengers were immediately sent across the Andromeda Galaxy, bearing the news of the prophecy and the impending doom that threatened all existence.
As Dan left the Celestial Hall, he found himself staring up at the darkened sky of Riverenda.
The twin moons, usually bright and peaceful, now seemed distant and cold. He could feel it, the shift in the air, the foreboding sense that something was already moving in the shadows.
And somewhere, far away, beyond the reach of light, Zephyrion watched with a knowing smile.
The endgame had already begun.
