Chapter 178: Go Separate Ways
The atmosphere inside the Sirius Kingdom’s war room was tense.
Maps of star systems hovered in mid-air, flickering holograms displaying the chaotic spread of Zerg infestations, dark energy corruption, and demonic forces emerging from newly formed portals.
Each marked breach represented another battlefield, and Ahcehera knew they were running out of time. Ahcehera stood at the center of the room, her gaze sharp and unwavering.
Around her, commanders from both the Sirius Kingdom and Bloodstone Clan busily organized their troops, drawing up strategies that balanced planetary defenses with offensive strikes.
The kingdom’s forces were stretched thin, too many threats, too many portals, and not enough warriors.
Her brothers, Aryndale and Azedreo, stood at her side, wearing their battle armor.
Both had been assigned to defend key planets along the outer edges of Sirius Kingdom’s territory, places closest to the Zerg infestation.
“The Bloodstone Clan has provided sufficient resources for now,” Aryndale reported. “We’ve secured the mecha units and reinforced the battleships, but this won’t be a short fight.”
“The Zergs are already spreading faster than anticipated,” Azedreo added. “If the dark energy corruption reaches the planetary cores, we’ll lose those systems entirely.”
Ahcehera exhaled softly. “Then we have no choice but to divide our forces.”
Her brothers exchanged a grim look.
“I’ll take the eastern corridor,” Aryndale volunteered. “The planets there are resource hubs, if they fall, our supply chains will crumble.”
“I’ll defend the core regions,” Azedreo followed. “The main trade planets are too vital to lose.”
“And me?” Ahcehera asked quietly.
“You’ll be governing Talven-9,” Aryndale said with a heavy sigh.
“The planet’s dangerously close to one of the biggest Zerg hives. It’s also one of the targets heavily influenced by dark energy.”
“I’ll manage,” Ahcehera said firmly.
Rohzivaan stepped forward from the crowd. His eyes locked onto hers, intense yet filled with concern.
“I’ll be heading to the Yven Outpost,” he said. “It’s one of the main portals linked directly to the Abyssal Rift. If we don’t contain it, the Zergs will swarm our core systems.”
Ahcehera’s heart clenched. The Abyssal Rift was the most dangerous breach, a place where dark energy was at its peak. Rohzivaan’s mission was nothing short of suicidal.
“You’ll be careful,” she said, her voice soft but commanding.
“You know I will.” He stepped closer, lowering his voice. “We’ve faced worse before.”
“But this time, we’re going to be worlds apart,” Ahcehera said. “No matter how strong you are…”
“I’ll contact you whenever I can,” Rohzivaan interrupted. “I promise.”
They stood quietly for a moment, two souls connected by destiny yet torn apart by duty.
“Till the end,” Ahcehera whispered.
“Till the end,” Rohzivaan echoed, before pressing a lingering kiss to her forehead.
The following days were filled with relentless preparation.
Fleets of battleships assembled at various stations, mecha units lined up for inspection, and elites prepared for combat both on the ground and in space.
Supplies were rationed, and specialized materials to counter dark energy were distributed.

Finally, the time came for each unit to depart. Ahcehera stood on the observation deck, watching Rohzivaan’s ship disappear into the endless stretch of stars.
Talven-9 was unlike any planet Ahcehera had governed before. The air was heavy with an unnatural chill, and the sky glowed faintly with a sickly violet hue.
The planet’s forests had begun to wither, their leaves blackened and brittle. The corruption was spreading faster than anticipated.
Ahcehera’s forces swiftly reinforced the planet’s defenses. Barriers were erected at key points, mecha units patrolled the perimeter, and warships guarded the atmosphere.
But as the days passed, the Zergs began to swarm in staggering numbers. They came from the east, an endless tide of twisted, insectoid creatures.
Their chitinous shells glistened with dark energy, and their shrill cries pierced the air. Soldiers fought valiantly, but the enemy seemed limitless.
Ahcehera herself led several battles, her goddess power illuminating the battlefield.
Waves of celestial flame surged from her fingertips, incinerating the Zergs before they could break the defensive line.
Her presence alone was enough to inspire her soldiers, yet she knew this was only the beginning.
Each night, Ahcehera returned to her command base, exhausted but determined.
She kept her communicator close, waiting for any word from Rohzivaan. Days passed without contact. Then weeks.
One night, as Ahcehera stood on the balcony overlooking her battered city, her communicator flickered to life.
“Ahcehera…” Rohzivaan’s voice came through, strained, yet steady.
“Rohzivaan!” Relief flooded her. “Are you alright? How’s the outpost?”
“We’re holding for now,” he said, voice rough with fatigue.
“The Zergs are relentless, but we’ve managed to push them back from the main portal. It’s… getting worse, though. Dark energy’s seeping into the land, it’s twisting everything it touches.”
“Are you safe?” Ahcehera asked urgently.
Rohzivaan paused. “For now.”
“Don’t lie to me.”
“I promise,” he said gently. “I’ll come back to you. Just hold on.”
“Till the end,” Ahcehera whispered.
“Till the end,” Rohzivaan replied before the signal cut off.
The battles on Talven-9 intensified.
The Zergs grew bolder, their numbers swelling beyond logic. Strange, shadowed figures began to appear among them, dark energy constructs twisted into monstrous forms.
Ahcehera knew this was no ordinary invasion. Something, or someone, was fueling the corruption.
One evening, a wave of Zergs breached the northern wall. Ahcehera led her forces in a desperate counterattack, her celestial flame blazing bright enough to turn night into day.
The Zergs shrieked and fell back, but before they retreated fully, a new figure emerged.
A man cloaked in black armor, crowned with jagged obsidian, stood at the heart of the battlefield. The darkness twisted around him like living smoke.
The First Demon God.
“You should not have interfered,” the demon god’s cold voice echoed across the field.
Ahcehera’s grip on her staff tightened. “This planet is under my protection.”
The demon god’s smile was chilling. “Then it will be your grave.”
He raised his hand, and dark energy surged forth, swallowing the land in black flames. Soldiers screamed as the corruption crept closer, consuming everything in its path.
Ahcehera stood firm, summoning her celestial power. Golden flames erupted around her, clashing violently against the demon god’s darkness.
The battlefield quaked beneath their power, light and shadow battling for dominance.
“I won’t let you win,” Ahcehera growled.
“You cannot stop what’s coming,” the demon god sneered. “This galaxy will fall, and you will be nothing but ash.”
With a final surge of power, Ahcehera’s light flared brilliantly, driving back the corruption just enough for her soldiers to regroup.
The demon god vanished into the shadows, his laughter lingering in the air.
Ahcehera stood amidst the wreckage, her heart pounding. She knew this was far from over, and Rohzivaan was still out there, fighting his own battle.
“Till the end,” she whispered to herself, determination burning in her eyes.
And with that, she prepared for the next battle, knowing that the war had only just begun.
