Chapter 27: VPAA (2)
The students straightened in their seats as if on instinct, their earlier chatter replaced by an oppressive silence.
They look a little funny. Am I really that scary?
The air in the room shifted, the tension noticeable. Ms. Evos hesitated for a moment before regaining her composure and returning to her position at the front of the class.
How can a teacher lose her composure just by seeing a superior? She needs more training.
Her teaching, however, was now markedly different. Every word she spoke was cautious, as though carefully measured.
Her gestures became deliberate, and her explanations carried a newfound clarity, but her nervousness was evident.
I hope the other teachers won’t react the same way. I am very open to communications after all.
The students, meanwhile, listened intently, their eyes flicking occasionally toward Ahcehera, who sat like a sentinel, her eyes sharp and observant.
This is more like it, Ahcehera thought, her presence having restored order, though it was clear the balance in this classroom was fragile at best.
She picked up her digital tablet and began noting her observations with swift precision:
Strengths: Knowledgeable instructor, interactive with students.
Weaknesses: Poor class management, lack of authority, failure to enforce discipline.
Recommendations: Mandatory training in classroom control and structured lesson delivery.
Ahcehera’s pen paused as she glanced up, her gaze briefly meeting Ms. Evos’s. The teacher stumbled over her next sentence but quickly recovered.
There is potential here, but it needs refinement, Ahcehera mused.
The rest of the session proceeded with a tense but orderly rhythm. When the class finally ended, the students exhaled collectively, the release of tension palpable.
They must be happy that the class is over.
Ms. Evos hesitated at her desk, looking as though she wanted to approach the princess but couldn’t summon the courage.
After the students left the room, Ahcehera remained seated, her sharp eyes fixed on Ms. Evos, who hesitated by her desk, visibly nervous.
“Ms. Evos,” Ahcehera began, her tone measured but firm, “a word, please.”
The teacher straightened immediately, clutching her datapad tightly. “Y-yes, Your Highness.”
I won’t eat her, why is she so scared?
Ahcehera stood, her imposing military uniform and composed demeanor casting a long shadow across the room.
She gestured for Ms. Evos to sit at the front desk. Once they were seated, Ahcehera wasted no time.
“You have a strong grasp of the subject matter, which is commendable,” she started, her voice carrying no trace of emotion.
“However, your classroom management is severely lacking.”
Ms. Evos swallowed hard, nodding slowly.
“You allowed the environment to devolve into chaos. The few students who approached you for clarification were engaged, but the majority were unchecked, which disrupted the learning atmosphere.”
“I’m sorry, Your Highness…”

“A teacher must command respect and order in the room. Without discipline, knowledge is irrelevant.”
“I understand, Your Highness. I… I didn’t realize it had gotten so out of hand,” Ms. Evos admitted, her voice small.
Ahcehera nodded, her gaze softening slightly.
“I observed that you have potential, Ms. Evos. It’s clear that you care about your students and the material you teach. That is a strength you should lean into.”
“I will, Your Highness.”
“However, you must establish a clear structure in your sessions. Authority doesn’t mean intimidation. It means fostering an environment where every student knows their role and responsibility.”
“I will improve, Your Highness,” Ms. Evos said, her tone earnest.
Ahcehera leaned back slightly, tapping a finger on the desk.
“Good. Begin by setting clear expectations at the start of every class. Enforce them consistently. If a student disrupts, address it immediately. Your knowledge is valuable, ensure your students respect it enough to listen. Understood?”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
Ahcehera stood, offering a nod. “I will observe your progress in the coming weeks. Make the necessary adjustments.”
Ms. Evos bowed deeply. “Thank you for your guidance, Your Highness.”
With that, Ahcehera exited the classroom, leaving Ms. Evos both relieved and determined.
Meanwhile, outside the classroom, the students gathered in small clusters, their voices buzzing with a mix of awe, fear, and nervous laughter.
“Did you see how calm she was? She didn’t even have to say anything, and the entire room just… froze,” one student said, her voice hushed but full of wonder.
“Yeah, and that uniform? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one like it up close. She looked like she stepped out of a war documentary or something,” another chimed in.
“She didn’t even flinch when we were all goofing off earlier,” a boy added, scratching the back of his neck.
“She just sat there, watching. I swear, I thought my soul left my body when I realized she’d been there the whole time.”
“Same! When I saw her, I couldn’t even breathe. She has this… presence, you know?” another student agreed, shuddering.
“But, honestly,” one of the quieter students said, glancing around, “didn’t you feel like she was judging us the entire time? Like she was disappointed?”
“That’s because we were embarrassing ourselves,” someone else snapped.
“Did you see how Ms. Evos changed the moment the princess spoke? It’s like she became a completely different teacher.”
“Do you think she’ll be observing all our classes from now on?” another asked, a mix of curiosity and dread in their tone.
“If she is, we better step up our game,” a girl said, crossing her arms. “I don’t want to be the one who makes a fool of themselves in front of her.”
“Still,” one student said quietly, “did you notice her eyes? They’re so sharp. Like she’s seen things we can’t even imagine. Makes you wonder what she’s been through.”
A thoughtful silence settled over the group before another voice broke in.
“Whatever it is, she’s a total badass. I mean, who else can walk into a room and make everyone pay attention without even saying a word?”
The students nodded, their awe slowly replacing their earlier nerves. For some, Ahcehera’s presence was intimidating. For others, it was inspiring.
But all of them agreed on one thing, this was a lesson they wouldn’t forget anytime soon.
